Probably each of us (without exception) cannot imagine everyday life without civilization amenities - such as electricity. Thanks to it, we can use electronic gadgets, devices and lighting at any time. Also, when going on vacation with a camper or with a caravan, most people are not able to do without electricity. After all, we have to somehow charge our smartphone or laptop.

Energy from the grid

There are at least several solutions to this "life" problem. As you might guess - the easiest way is in our holiday plans. If you want to have constant access to electricity, it is worth choosing those campsites that provide such an opportunity. For a small fee , the facility administrator will provide us with access to the electricity network, if possible. On some campsites, electricity is included in the total price . There are, however, more developed solutions. More often found in Western Europe are independent meters standing at each - strictly defined - parking stand. Thanks to that, we will pay only for the energy actually used.

Electricity from the generator

The aforementioned convenience - trouble-free connection of our mobile home to the network - most often occurs only in popular towns or tourist areas. When choosing less frequented nooks and crannies , we have to organize our own power source , able to meet the energy consumption of all devices in the camper / caravan. One of the proven, relatively cheap and universal solutions is a power generator . The device is usually used on construction sites, it also works well at the campground. The generator, which costs around 1000-3000 zlotys, is in fact a gasoline engine placed in a rectangular frame made of pipes , permanently connected to the alternator . As in a car, a running engine generates electricity .

Solar panels

Unfortunately - the disadvantage of the above power source is the nuisance noise generated by it during normal operation. For some of us, nothing irritates more than a growling generator on a Saturday afternoon. Undoubtedly, the most expensive solution is solar panels , which generate electricity thanks to the operation of sunlight on their surface. In some of the more expensive campers and caravans, they are already installed by the manufacturer. We can also install them in a used camper - unfortunately, the high prices of branded sets turn out to be an insurmountable barrier.

Choosing an energy source during a vacation trip is very important for many of us. Thanks to it, we can use on-board systems, a refrigerator and lighting. We must remember that a car battery is not a good choice.

Solar panels in a motorhome
We have more and more devices that we think are essential. In the motorhome or caravan, we want to have a refrigerator, coffee machine, TV, computer, and fashionable LED lighting that will brighten every corner of the vehicle. But where to get electricity?. Standard on-board batteries are usually sufficient if we frequently change places of residence. Worse, if we plan a longer stop, away from electricity sources. When preparing for such situations, it is worth considering installing roof solar panels.

Nowadays, it is difficult for us to imagine everyday life without amenities, such as electricity. It is similar with going on vacation with a camper or with a caravan - thanks to energy, we can use our favorite electrical devices, gadgets or lighting, ensuring comfortable use of the vehicle and a comfortable stay at the campsite. Although holidays in a camper are equated with freedom and independence, it is worth taking care of constant access to electricity before leaving, equipping the vehicle with the necessary power sources. Which one should you choose to avoid unpleasant surprises on your dream trip?

How to keep the battery in good condition?
The car battery is like our health. When we are fine, we operate at full capacity. We over-exploit the body, until at some point it refuses to obey and forces us to "perform a check-up" at the doctor's office. It is similar with the battery. When we start the engine every day, we do not think about the condition of our battery. Only the emerging problems with the ignition, or its complete absence, forces us to intervene quickly. Most passenger cars use maintenance-free lead-acid batteries, but there are also gel, gel-like electrolyte and AGM batteries on the market, in which glass fiber mats are soaked with electrolyte. The most popular ones, used in our cars, maintenance-free, however, require inspections. Because the way we use our car battery will affect its condition and failure-free operation for years.
