Today let's move to an exotic city that smells new and delights with the height of its skyscrapers. Singapore, because we are talking about it, is a combination of tradition and modernity.

There are cities that are said to have one foot in the past and one foot in the future. In the case of Singapore, what was there is only the tip of the heel, because the vast majority of the metaphorical body is immersed in "today". This is clearly confirmed by the city's modern buildings, its glass and steel skyscrapers gleaming in the sun, as well as strict enforcement of regulations.

European tourists praise travel to Singapore very much. They like the beautiful beaches and the majesty of the ocean, they also appreciate a huge variety of entertainment, including the possibility of participating in a night safari or a visit to the funfair. Prices are also a big advantage - many attractions are much cheaper than in Europe. We will pay relatively cheap for a taxi ride from one end of the city to the other, while it would cost us much more, e.g. in Berlin.

Pure as advertised

Singapore is famous for the cleanliness of its streets. Keeping things in order is followed very strictly, and those who forget themselves will pay for it literally and figuratively - there is a fine for littering . On the other hand, thanks to strict regulations, we can see that in Singapore you can really eat from the floor, or rather from the street. The same goes for drinking water straight from the tap.

Cleanliness and order are noticeable especially on the main street of the city, full of exclusive shops and boutiques. By the way, it is worth saying that stopping in front of a shop window will soon result in the appearance of a widely smiling seller who will start inviting us inside. Perhaps he will even give us something, which will take away the boldness of less assertive tourists to refuse and escape.

Singapore attractions

While in Singapore, you can't help but get to know the temple aptly named Sri Mariamman . As befits a Hindu temple, we take off our shoes before entering. Rich decorations may seem to some people too abundant, or even kitschy, but they cannot be denied their charm. Viewed from a bird's eye view, it looks a bit like a large iced cake.

After leaving the temple walls, you can wander through the modern Financial Center to Marina Bay. We find here an amazing building designed in the shape of an orchid - Art & Science Museum . It is surrounded by water with pink water lilies floating in it. The whole is a beautiful combination of nature and thoroughly modern architecture.

A weakness for records

Singapore is a city with several construction records. The world's largest observation wheel - the Singapore Flyer - spins it proudly. One lap of the giant takes about 30 minutes and the admission ticket costs $ 29.5. Pricey, but the landscapes you see are worth it. We can admire the Formula 1 track and views straight from the movie "Avatar" - gardens "Gardens by the Bay" with the cathedral of flowers "The Flower Dome". In addition to the symbols of the city, i.e. orchids, there are baobabs, palm trees and olive trees.

Where else can we find something "the best"? On the 55th floor of the Marina Bay Sands hotel, home to the world's highest outdoor swimming pool. The building itself makes a huge impression with its original structure, but an additional attraction is the huge ship on its roof. The hotel has 2,560 rooms and costs £ 350 a night.

Apparently, a weekend is enough to get to know all the attractions of Singapore. We absolutely do not agree with this, because this city like a matryoshka has many layers, and each of them deserves attention. Spend more time getting acquainted with the sweet taste of Singapore Slinga , eat a nutritious meal in the Little India district, and take a souvenir photo on the Merlion blindfold, the mythical beast with the head of a lion and the body of a fish. And that's just a fraction of what awaits visitors in Singapore.
