Thanks to having their own motorhome, travel enthusiasts gain great independence. They decide where they will spend the night on a given day, which route they will go, and time is not something they have to follow. Traveling with a motorhome is practically not limited by any border - neither land nor sea. The latter can be easily overcome today thanks to ferries. However, not everyone knows about it, and some of those who do think ferry fees are too much of an expense.
In addition, there is a requirement to meet all standards that allow the vehicle to be transported through water. Some are discouraged by this, and wrongly so. By resigning from ferries , they deprive themselves of the possibility of reaching interesting places much faster than by land (sometimes leading around a longer route) and much cheaper. After calculating the costs, it is often possible to come to the conclusion that this transport option allows us to save both time and money. It is also the only situation when we travel while sleeping, i.e. rest before starting the actual trip.

The greatest probability of encountering such a situation concerns ferry routes to popular destinations where there is no airport or the number of flights is limited.
More and more carriers are adding the so-called , i.e. the possibility of sleeping in your own motorhome or caravan. During their stay on the ferry, passengers have access to electricity and water. If, on the other hand, the chosen shipowner does not offer such an option, you should leave the motorhome in the parking lot below deck and go to the cabin where you have booked a place to stay. We will not be able to access the vehicle at night, so take the necessary things with you. When ordering tickets, it is also worth paying attention to whether the carrier allows them to be changed or canceled. In the event of a sudden change of plans, we will not lose the entire ticket, but only change it.
In summary, before making a purchase, carefully study the carrier's terms and conditions and, after selecting an offer, quickly book tickets. And then you can start preparing for your trip.
