The Motor Show in Poznań takes place right after the Geneva Motor Show. And what is important - new products shown in Switzerland more and more often find their way to the Polish exhibition immediately. Thanks to this, we can see many cars as one of the first in the world.
The list of new models that will be shown in Poznań is impressive this year, so we must confine ourselves to listing those that, in our opinion, will be the greatest attraction for visitors to the Motor Show. Once again, we will see the importance of ecological vehicles, although there will also be sports accents.
Trade fair ABC - Alfa, BMW, Citroen
Last year in the automotive world undoubtedly belonged to Alfa Romeo and the extremely well-received Giulia model. Recently, the Stelvio - the first SUV in the history of Alfa - has also been trying to keep up with this beauty. Both models will be on display in Poznań.
BMW will present a new model from the iPerformance line - the BMW 530e and special editions of BMW i . The new MINI Countryman with plug-in hybrid drive will also be presented for the first time.
Citroën will show in Poznań, among others the new Citroën C3 and DS 7 Crossback .
Giants from Asia
Honda will arrive with the next-generation Civic Type R , which will start production this summer. The predecessor model's two-liter VTEC Turbo unit has undergone a major overhaul to offer maximum power of 320 hp and a maximum torque of 400 Nm. The six-speed manual transmission has been enhanced with the RMCS (Rev Match Control System) engine speed control system.
Hyundai will bring from Geneva the i30 Wagon model with a luggage capacity of 602 liters and 1,650 liters with the seats folded out. The driving comfort and dynamics of this model are influenced by a stiff and light body made of 53% steel. The extensive standard safety equipment is also noteworthy. Hyundai will also exhibit the IONIQ in three drive versions. The debuting IONIQ Plug-in will appear in showrooms this summer.
The highlight at the Infiniti stand is to be Project Black S - a radical interpretation of the Q60 coupe . The high-performance hybrid powertrain tested under Project Black S includes, among others ERS (energy recovery system, known from Formula 1), which allows you to use the stored energy as a boost, providing additional power and torque. The result is immediate, deceleration-free acceleration. This technology has not yet been used in any vehicle on public roads.
The most important element of the Kia stand will be the Polish premiere of the Stinger model. The elegant, sporty sedan with a coupé silhouette is sure to attract the attention of trade fair visitors. However, taking into account the wealth of wallets of many customers, the modernized Kia Rio , which is just now appearing in showrooms, can count on even greater interest.
Stands full of attractions
The theme of the Mercedes-Benz stand will be the 50th anniversary of the AMG brand. At the fair, we will see the latest models, such as the AMG GT Roadster and the E-Class 63 AMG S 4MATIC + with 612 HP. The historic Mercedes 300 SEL AMG will be the highlight of the stand. In addition, at the open-air stand, Mercedes will prepare special shows of Intelligent Drive systems. Will be presented, among others Remote Parking Assist - this system allows you to enter and leave parking spaces remotely, using a smartphone application.
Mitsubishi is celebrating its 100th anniversary, which is why the brand's stand will be full of attractions. A refreshed range of cars of this brand awaits the visitors - the ASX 2017 , Outlander 2017 , Outlander PHEV 2017 models as well as the Mitsubishi L200 Monster and Pajero Adventure prepared for driving on rough terrain.
In Poznań, we will see the Peugeot 3008 - this SUV was chosen in Geneva as the Car of the Year 2017. The Peugeot stand will also include other SUVs of the brand - including the 5008 model, which will be celebrating its Polish premiere in Poznań.
Porsche will exhibit 13 cars this year. The new models will include the Panamera Sport Turismo and the racing 911 GT3 Cup . Porsche Panamera 4 E-Hybrid showcasing a new direction in which the brand is heading. The top serial Porsche 911 version will also be launched in Poznań: the Turbo S model.
Old names, new cars ...
The highlight of this year's Seat stand will be the latest generation Ibiza . The car was built on the new MQB A0 platform, which guarantees excellent driving characteristics.
The main slogan at the Skoda stand will be "facelift". Cosmetic modifications included the Citigo, Rapid and Octavia models. The first SUV of this brand - Kodiaq - is a complete novelty. The 4.7-meter model will be optionally available in a 7-seater version.
For the first time in Poland, Suzuki will present the latest generation of the Swift model, which will hit showrooms in April. The manufacturer announces that, in addition to the stylistics designed in Europe, this model is distinguished by agility and confident driving. This is largely due to the fact that the car weighs only 840 kg.
Electricity takes on a new meaning
While other manufacturers still talk about electrification, digitization and automation as topics of the future, Tesla successfully produces and sells remarkable electric models such as the S (accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in just 2.7 seconds) and the X. Thanks to the all-wheel drive and the lifting door, the X model offers comfort for seven people and plenty of space for luggage. And besides - it accelerates to a hundred in 3.1 seconds.
Toyota also focuses on ecology. During the fair, the exhibitor will focus on the fourth generation Prius models, the second generation Prius Plug-in Hybrid (average fuel consumption is to be only 1 l / 100 km) and the C-HR hybrid crossover.
New in the premium class
The Arteon is the most important novelty at the Volkswagen stand - this model ranks above the Passat. The five-seater gran turismo body is intended for those who are looking for a five-door car with a sporty silhouette and functional in everyday use. Under the bonnet, there will be engines ranging from 150 to 280 hp. Polish prices will be announced during Press Day, and the cars will go to showrooms in June.
At the Volvo stand, the new XC60 model is to cause a stir. The car was rebuilt from scratch. The latest SPA chassis, new Drive-e motors, new electronic architecture, motors, design and safety systems - all this is to delight potential customers.
