The seventh edition of Caravans Salon 2024 has come to an end. It was a record edition - the entire block of caravanning and tourism fairs was visited by 37,745 visitors. In addition, over 150 exhibitors, wonderful guests, as well as novelties and numerous premieres make the Poznań event the largest of its kind in Poland and an important one in Europe.

The Caravans Salon trade fair has once again confirmed its position as the leader of caravanning trade fairs in Poland. The largest event gathering campers, trailers and camping equipment was visited by 37,745 visitors. This attendance was also supported by accompanying events: Yacht Salon, Tour Salon and the Śladami Marzeń Festival. Over 150 exhibitors and a rich programme of accompanying events meant that every travel enthusiast could find something for themselves.

This year's edition was used by leading manufacturers and dealers to premiere and show new products in their offer. The most important events included the premiere of the Polish brand of campers Masuria and the premiere of the latest model of the N-Star caravan from Fabryka Przyczepy in Niewiadów. Brands such as Tischer, WaveCamper, Globe Traveller, CarGo!, Affinity also appeared with premier units.

For the first time at a caravanning fair in Poland, the German manufacturer of campers and trailers Erwin Hymer Group appeared with a factory stand, with the brands: Hymer, Carado, Laika, Eriba and Etrusco. This is extremely important information for the entire camper industry in Poland, that our market is in the sphere of interest of the largest European and world manufacturers. There were also other leading vehicle manufacturers: Hobby, Rapido, Affinity, Globe Traveller, and Starlight. Polish factories also appeared in the form of the new camper brand Masura and Fabryka Przyczep Niewiadów. All the most important brands of campers and trailers were also present thanks to the leading Polish dealers. A wide selection could be found among companies such as CarGo!, ACK Benimar, ElCamp, WCC, Kampery Gorzów, Centrum Campingowe, Wadowscy Campery, X-Camp, Camel Camp, Keller Kamp, Tomplan, S-Camp, Silesia Camp, Dandis, and MTM Campery.

A novelty was the new zone in Pavilion 6, where campervans reigned supreme. Thanks to this, it was possible to compare manufacturers of these vehicles in one place. Anyone planning to start their adventure in the so-called vanlife could receive comprehensive information from each exhibitor. The interest in this zone was very high. The exhibitors included the most important players on the Polish market: Affinity, Vannado, Camper4Mountain, Bus Kamper. as well as many other companies that specialize in the construction and equipment of campervans.

The Offroad/RTO zone was very popular among visitors. This way of travelling is gaining more and more supporters in our country. Exhibitors in Pavilion 8 presented equipment for off-road tourism such as mobile capsules, roof tents, off-road accessories and specialist 4x4 vehicles. Exhibitors such as Tischer, Rafi Garage, Maturi, Azar 4 and Camp4Wheels also made their presence known in this pavilion.

One of the elements that attract caravanning enthusiasts to the Poznań event are the Vanlife and Retro zones in Pavilion 4. As every year, vanlifers gather during Caravans Salon, both the most popular ones and those who have recently started their adventure with traveling in their vehicles, a total of 20 teams of which came to Poznań. From the first day of their arrival, huge queues formed for photos and direct conversations. There was also an opportunity to discuss with vanlifers on the Main Stage, where meetings with individual creators and very interesting debates took place. Certainly, anyone planning to start their adventure with this type of traveling could seek the opinion of active travelers. Pavilion 4 is also a Retro zone with as many as 30 vehicles. Among the vehicles, there were many gems from years ago, thanks to which it was possible to learn how caravanning has changed over the years. Traditionally, the zone was organized by the Camper Majstry Group.

For the third time, the Caravans Salon fair was accompanied by the Przystanek_targi caravanning rally. The interest in the rally surprised the organizers themselves, as all the pitches were sold out in 4 hours. The entire rally gathered over 300 teams, who made the event more attractive from Thursday to Sunday. Participants took part in a feast, as well as in competitions in the swimming pool in Pavilion 7.

The largest camper and trailer fair is an excellent opportunity to debate the situation of the caravanning market in Poland. The first day of the fair was the Polish Campers & Caravans Conference 2024. Participants discussed topics related to barriers to entering foreign markets, expanded their knowledge of foreign trade and presented Polish productions with export potential.

Camping grounds are an extremely important element of camping in campers and trailers. The best campsites in Poland have made their presence known through the Golden Campsites Plebiscite, whose initiator is Bartek Ryś from NaBiwaku.pl. The first edition of this plebiscite enjoyed extraordinary interest, both from users and the campsites themselves.

The Caravanning Fair was accompanied by other events that took place at the same time. The Yacht Salon, Tour Salon and the Śladami Marzeń Festival are a perfect complement to the tourist and travel weekend.

Next year's edition of the Caravans Salon trade fair will take place on October 2-5, 2025. The organizers cordially invite you.

America by car, part 5/10 - Grand Canyon
Let me start at the end - it's 10pm and we've just got to Page (pronounced whip), where we'll be spending tonight. When we entered the city it was already dark but we came to the conclusion that it was a city of motels, churches (of various denominations - free market?) And fast food. Unfortunately, at 10 pm everything was closed and we were directed to a 24-hour roadside pub where we took a small dinner (according to Marcin: approx. 700 kcal per person). We went back to the hotel, booked a night in Cedar City for tomorrow so it was close to Bryce Canion and Zion Park, which we are going to visit tomorrow. We also bought an overnight stay in Las Vegas - we have a really cool hotel ( www.stratospherehotel .com ) ... but today it's the first obsówka in the plan, because we decided to stay in the Grand Canyon until the very end, so from the beginning ... Waking up before 7 without an alarm clock, fast morning toilet - 4 people in one bathroom is quite a challenge J, breakfast which turned out to be "Just cold breakfest" and we were displeased that there were no eggs and bacon. We are already leaving before 9 am. Today Marcin takes the baton of the court driver - the guys are brave enough and despite the pre-departure threats that they will chase us behind the wheel, because they will have better classes, they have not allowed the "woman" to get behind the wheel to this day. We arrived at the Grand Canyon around 11 o'clock, wanting to first take advantage of the helicopter flight over the canyon and admire the beautiful nature from above. Unfortunately, first of all: it was too windy today and the flights were under a big question mark. Secondly, it turned out that in this part of the canyon, helicopters do not fly between the rocks, because it is the area of the national park - it is forbidden. We found out that there was an option to fly from the eastern side of the canyon and we decided to take a flight from Las Vegas. It is cold and windy, as I have already mentioned, so we have a little dressing up in the car - we jump into long pants and sweatshirts, trying not to throw Kuba's drying underwear from the car shelves. We enter the park and we are immediately greeted by a few deer - the animals I mean ... They are grazing in the forest by the road. We reach the first vantage point, park outside the designated places (not us alone) and we see an indescribable sight - the reactions of all four of us were similar - uncensored, so we will not quote or quote. So, being unable to give up such views, we spend the whole day there, moving from place to place and admiring this wonder of nature from different perspectives. We stay until the sunset and we do the most kitschy photos that you will have to watch, whether you like it or not.
