Warsaw Chopin Airport introduces a summer flight schedule: 122 new destinations

As a result of the change to summer time, from March 31, Warsaw Chopin Airport implemented a new network of air connections.

Last weekend, all planes at Chopin Airport adjusted to summer time. A new connection plan has come into force, thanks to which flights to 122 new destinations will soon be launched from the Warsaw airport this year.

Starting from June 4, LOT Polish Airlines planes will travel to Saudi Arabia. New flights from Poland to the capital of the Kingdom of Arabia will be operated on Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays, three times a week in total. In turn, from April 11, the Polish carrier will restore daily connections to Athens. It is worth recalling that on March 13, LOT Polish Airlines initiated a connection with Tashkent.

Flights from Ethiopia to Poland, operated by Ethiopian Airlines, also start in June. Connections to Addis Ababa will become the second planned connection with Africa, after Cairo.

Turkish airline SunExpress will offer flights to Izmir. The first connections will start on May 3. Until July 2024, flights to Izmir will operate three times a week: on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and then 6 days a week, except Saturdays. It is worth noting that SunExpress Airlines has suspended charter flights from Chopin Airport to Izmir in September 2021.

It should also be remembered that on March 31, Romania and Bulgaria joined the Schengen area for air transport. This means that Poles will no longer be subject to passport control at the airports of these countries.

In total, in January-February 2024, Warsaw Chopin Airport served over 2 million passengers.
