Interesting camping in Moravia

Are there any nice camping sites in the Czech Republic? Is it possible to spend a nice vacation in the Czech Republic? What do our neighbors have to offer in terms of caravanning?

In our opinion, some campgrounds are great, they are constantly developing and transforming old resorts from the 1970s into modern Family Parks. See for yourself all the interesting campsites that we visited in Moravia at the invitation of Czech Tourism .

Camping Vranovská pláž

Vranovská pláž - Holiday Park offers all possible forms of accommodation:

campsite
terraced pitches for motorhomes and caravans
brand new mobile homes
apartments
hotels

All this by a beautiful reservoir, which is called the Czech Adriatic . You can sail here, go SUP (the water is very clean), ride a motor boat, but only electric, because there is a silence zone in the lagoon. There are bicycle paths around, although it should be noted that the area is a bit hilly.

Those who prefer to relax on the campsite have plenty of space to do so on the green grass by the lake and sometimes on a sandy beach, as long as the water in the lagoon is of a lower level.

The resort has a shop and several ice cream parlors and restaurants. There is even more of it right next to the dam.

Our note - on weekends it can get noisy in the evenings. But during the week, even in high season (July and August) it is very quiet here. Although, as the manager of the campsite assured us, during the season there is security guarding the night silence. However, on the aforementioned dam, there are several bars from which the music carries over the flood and the silence in these places is no longer influenced by the camping .

During the season, animations for children are held here all week, and from time to time an open-air cinema and festivals are organized here.

Slovácký dvůr

Camping Slovácký dvůr is a great camping friendly to cyclists!

There are roofed and padlocked garages for bicycles next to the houses,

There is a basic bike service here
There are plenty of bike paths nearby, including MTB
And just behind the fence is a pump track.

There is a swimming pool on the campsite which has a stone basin and several water levels. The parts with the lowest level are mainly used by little ones. In high season, when the camping is full, only camping guests can use the pool.

In addition to the swimming pool, children will also love the huge playground in the central part of the campsite, and a smaller one next to the restaurant. There is also a beach volleyball court, tennis courts, mini golf and zip lines.

There is a chemical toilet waste catchment but no gray water catchment.

Camping Rožnov

Camping Rožnov is only an hour's drive from Cieszyn. It has a great infrastructure and location:

There is a swimming pool on the campsite
The campsite has several types of accommodation, including cottages by the pool
Communal kitchen for the camping site
Two small playgrounds
Restaurant serving breakfast as well
camper-service together with a catchment, which is sorely lacking in other campsites in the Czech Republic.

There is the Cyklostezka Bečva bike path on the Beczwa River right next to the campsite. The path is divided into two parts. Each of them runs along two sections of the river. One is 30 km long, the other 80 km and has a greater elevation and most of them lead along separate lanes only for bicycles.

We visited the brewery Rožnovské pivní lázně nearby and the beautiful open-air museum of Valašské muzeum v přírodě v Rožnov pod Radhoštěm. A little further, within a dozen or several dozen kilometers, there are: a treetop path (Stezka Valaška), several ski resorts and, for example, an aquapark (Resort Kyčerka Velké Karlovice).

Merlin's Camp - camping by the amusement park

Merlin's Camp is the perfect place for a one-day stopover on your way to southern Europe. Both the camping and the amusement park, which I will write about in a moment, are located right next to the border crossing between the Czech Republic and Austria - in Chwałowice, i.e. the border crossing in Znojmo. The whole area with a shopping center and a shop (former duty free) can be found by the name Excalibur City .

The campground is called Merlin's Camp and is located next to an amusement park with a similar name (Merlins Kinderwelt) and the world's largest museum of jukeboxes and flippers (Terra Technika). The museum is interactive and most pinballers are playable.

The amusement park is mainly aimed at younger children. Most attractions are for children over 120 cm. But the museum will certainly appeal to teenagers and parents who will be able to show their children what computers they used to play on.

As for the camping itself, there are only mobile homes on it. Campers and cars with trailers can easily be parked in the huge parking lot of this Excalibur City facility.

The cabins are new. They were created in 2019 and are fully equipped. They have a huge living room with a kitchenette and 3 double bedrooms. Separate bathroom and separate toilet. The terrace is covered, and there is a barbecue area next to the houses, there are also several places for children to play. The cabins can be rented even for one night. There are no daily restrictions here.

Autocamping Luhačovice

Let's move to the vicinity of Żlin for a moment. Autocamping Luhačovice is located near the spa Luhačovice, famous for its natural healing springs.

The campsite has brand new terraced plots. Each of them has a connection to electricity, water and the ability to discharge gray water into the sewage system. There is a restaurant on the campsite.

The campsite is located right next to a small lake, ideal for swimming, e.g. on SUP. There is also a rope park at the lake. 700 m from the campsite is Aquapark Duha - outdoor swimming pool.

Eurocamping Bojkovice

Eurocamping in Bojkovice is a camping with a heated swimming pool and even two swimming pools. One for recreational purposes and the other smaller for toddlers. The campsite is located near the forest which keeps you cool on hot days. You can see Nový Světlov from the campsite, which you can visit, but only a few days a month.

The campsite has a playground and restaurant. The bungalows at this campground are older than the other properties we show here, but the campground and campground is great. You will definitely find peace and quiet here, because this place is not crowded with tourists hungry for loud parties until the morning.

Resort & Camp Dešná

North of the town of Zlin, in the quiet town of Desna, there is a campsite of the same name. Resort & Camp Dešná has plenty of activities for children and is known for organizing school camps here. First of all, it is worth mentioning the swimming pool, which has water heated to 30 degrees Celsius! In addition, there is a billiard table, a labyrinth of dreads, games such as chess or checkers drawn on the terrace. In addition, a multifunctional pitch.

The campsite has paved concrete pitches with an additional grassy resting area. The lot has electricity and water connections. The disadvantage of the plots is, unfortunately, the need to enter them over the curb. He's not tall, but he is. The bungalows look dated from the outside, but are renovated on the inside.

Muzeum Lesna: Penzion Camping Restaurace

A few kilometers from the Vranov reservoir, which we wrote about in the first point, there is the Lesná Museum: Penzion Camping Restaurace, where, in addition to stopping for the night at an intimate campground , you can admire a large collection of motorbikes and even buy something on the caravan. You can also eat here.
