A motorhome tour in Canada
The routes we publish on the portal are created in cooperation with Cruise America and Cruise Canada - the largest motorhome rental company in the USA and Canada. In the fall of 2020, we became the only and official representative of Cruise America in Poland. The costs of such a ready route are given at the end of the article.
If you want us to evaluate your individual motorhome trip around the USA or Canada - write to us at: [email protected] . Remember that we guarantee lower prices than when you book directly with Cruise America . Soon you will be able to check the prices in person on our website: www.usakamperem.pl . And now you can download the tourbook from our e-book store and start planning your vacation. You will find a lot more information about this tour in the tour book. It mainly includes links to all the campsites we recommend. Renting a motorhome in the USA is safe and simple!
Day 1 - pickup of a camper at Cruise Canada
When you pick up your camper , head to Burnaby Cariboo, where you will spend your first night. A short tour awaits you on this day. The campground we offer is one of the highest rated places in British Columbia. It is the perfect base for a trip to Vancouver. We start by exploring Vancouver, one of the most interesting and certainly the most beautiful cities in the world.
Day 2 and 3 - Camping in Okanagan
We have a long way to go today, but it is worth it. We will take the Transcanada Highway towards the Okanagan Valley. The landscape of this valley is out of this world. There are many vineyards in this area: Oliver, Penticton, Okanagan Falls, Kelowna ... and more. We chose a location for you on Lake Okanagan, north of Penticton. You will find two large campsites (North & South Park) right on the shores of the lake. The beautiful beaches are surrounded by yellow pines and sage bushes. In the shade of the trees, you can swim in the lake or try some water sports. Here you can take a break from your travels, stay one more day and go to the Harrison Hot Springs.
Day 4 - Mount Revelstoke
Today there is a short tour and you will be able to visit several vineyards! We're going to Revelstoke, a town high in the Monashee Mountains, in close proximity to Mount Revelstoke and Glacier National Parks. There is something to do in Revelstoke any time of the year. In this area you will find the most beautiful views in all of Canada. To the east are the snow-capped peaks of the Selkirk Mountains, and to the west, the Monashee Mountains. That is why Revelstoke is called the capital of the Canadian Alps, and at the beginning of the 20th century the town became famous as a mountain paradise.
Day 5 & 6 - Lake Luise
After approximately three hours of driving, you will arrive at Lake Louise. In this area, we suggest camping in Lake Louise Park, although there are several more nearby - you can find them on the website. You will bring home wonderful memories and unforgettable stories about the iconic Banff / Lake Louise National Park. You will tell the next generations about these adventures, so it is worth taking a few photos for the family album. Who knows? Perhaps your children, and then their children, will want to return to the places they will learn from your stories. You can't take a bad picture here! Take some time to explore Banff. (If you start your journey at a Cruise Canada point in Calgary, go straight to Camping Lake Louise, or stay in Banff if you prefer.)
Day 7 & 8 - Athabasca Glacier
The road to Jasper is exceptionally picturesque, with peaks over 3600 meters high all around. Here we recommend several campgrounds to choose from.
On the way, it is worth visiting the Athabasca Glacier: the most visited glacier in North America. The glacier can be reached by Ice Explorer coach or on foot with a guide. Once in Jasper, take a Maligne Lake Cruise to reach Spirit Island, a famous island that can only be reached by boat. It is a jewel in the crown of Jasper National Park and a photographers dream.
Day 9 - Columbia Mountains
Today we will take a wonderful route: on the right side you can admire Wells Gray Park and on the left side you can see the peaks of the Columbia Mountains. We're headed to Clearwater. This is the last stop on this trip before returning to Vancouver. If you want to be close to Wells Gray Park, and if you can find an empty spot (there are only 13), book an overnight stay at Helmcken Falls Lodge & RV Park Campground to experience the authentic Canadian wilderness right at the park's entrance.
Check out Clearwater - it's an interesting town near the border of Wells Gray Park. On your way to Clearwater, stop by the Blue River and go on a river safari - if you're lucky, you'll be able to see the bears!
Day 10 and 11 - Vancouver camper
You are 4.5 hours' drive from Vancouver. This time you will be staying at the Burnaby Cariboo campground . We recommend staying at the campsite for 3 or even 4 nights. Please visit www.bcrvpark.com. There is a bus stop at the campsite with a bus leaving for the city every half an hour. You can also go to the train station on foot, which is 15 minutes from the parc. Vancouver is one of our favorite cities. It is definitely worth spending more time here.
Day 12
Today a short drive - 15 miles to the Cruise Canada point where you will drop off your camper van. This is where our Canada camper trip ends. You will learn about the costs of such a trip later in the article.
