Japan is one of the most interesting countries in the world with a rich history. This island country located in the eastern part of Asia delights primarily with its fascinating culture and traditions. It's no wonder that a trip to Japan is a dream come true for many people. For Europeans, the land of the cherry blossoms is primarily about Japanese cuisine and popular sushi, as well as green tea and a beautiful traditional kimono. What unforgettable memories can you bring back from this fascinating country and what is worth seeing while traveling around Japan?

Customs of the Japanese

When visiting the cherry blossom country, tourists will not only be fascinated by Japanese cuisine and fresh fruits. What will immediately catch your eye is the specific lifestyle of the Japanese and their approach to life.

It is impossible not to agree that Japan is more than a country. It is also a philosophy, a way of living and thinking that is significantly different from ours. Unlike Europeans, who live under constant pressure, rush and chaos, the Japanese definitely prefer peace and simplicity. The best example of this is the tea ceremony, which can last up to four hours.

What is worth seeing in the cherry blossom country?

Many people cannot imagine being in Japan and not visiting the famous Tokyo, the capital of the country of samurai. While in this city, it is worth going to Harajuku. This is one of the districts of Tokyo, very popular among Japanese youth. Its spine is Takeshita Dori Street, from which many smaller side streets branch off, lined with fashionable boutiques and clothing stores. While still in Tokyo, it is worth seeing with your own eyes the famous Shibuya intersection, known, among others, from the movie "Tokyo Drift". It is also a vibrant and colorful district where you can visit interesting shops.

The next point on the map is Osaka. It is the third largest city in Japan, where tourists can enjoy various attractions. Among others, Osaka Castle, the Shinsekai district, and Universal Studios Japan. In the latter place you can visit districts inspired by the films "Back to the Future" or "Jurassic Park".

Nara and Kyoto – Former capitals of Japan

From Osaka, it is worth going to Kyoto and Nara. The city of Nara is the first capital of Japan. It is famous not only for its beautiful architecture characteristic of Japan, but also for the tame deer that can be found in the park. Kyoto is also the former capital of the cherry blossom country. It is the most touristic place in the country, with over 2,000 active temples.

Expedition to Fuji – the highest peak in Japan

When talking about Japan, it is impossible not to mention Fuji. It is an active stratovolcano, located southwest of Tokyo, the highest peak in Japan and a holy mountain for the followers of Shintoism and Buddhism. In the past, the peak was accessible only to priests and pilgrims, but today tourists can also visit the holy mountain. The walk to the top of the mountain can be considered relatively easy. You don't need much experience or specialized equipment. Since 2013, the entire Fuji area, along with numerous monasteries located nearby, has been included on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

VW what to play in Silesia part 1 by VW T3 Klub Górny Śląsk
Sometimes we want to go on a trip, short, casual, close and interesting. She learns about such places from friends, sometimes she comes across them by accident. We are happy to drop off a few such places in Silesia. We hope that, in return, someone will describe their region or give us a nice place in our area. We will start with the letter B, b for. Będzin - is our Christmas discovery, the weather was good, so after a family dinner we decided to take a walk. We drove to the very top of the hill, up to the playground for children, you can get there by driving along the walls of the old cemetery. Playground for children of all ages (even those in their thirties will find something for themselves) nice and intimate, enough equipment for a large number of children (slides, swings, spiders, rocks, and even a mini stage). From the square, you can walk to the castle hill along very well-lit paths, walk the reconstructed rampart and see the dugouts. You can see the castle in the background of the city from above, it is also worth visiting the church of St. Trinity, which is also nice to walk around and end the trip under the airline shelter in the basement of the hill (you need to make an appointment in advance by phone from Monday to Friday at 32 267 77 07, on Saturdays and Sundays at 32 267 47 31, more information about Bedzin and the undergrounds http://www.muzeum.bedzin.pl/ ).
