What are the safest hours to sunbathe? What to use? Every year, during the summer holidays, many people ask this type of question. And every year, many of them make basic mistakes, which results in sore, burned skin.

Summer is in full swing and the sun tans our skin, changing its shade to a more or less intense brown. A lot has been written about the advantages and disadvantages of a tan, so we will not repeat it. But what if someone has definitely exaggerated and instead of temptingly golden skin has painful redness and blisters?

Of course, the best solution is to avoid sunbathing during the hours of the most intense emission of sunlight and to use protective cosmetics. Sometimes, however, as you know, it turns out differently and then you need to quickly find an effective way to bake.

Home remedies for sunburn

Skin that is too tanned most often reacts with pain to touch. We can ease it with over-the-counter painkillers. It should be remembered that the lack of pain relief or even intensification requires professional medical help.

After too intensive sunbathing, we can go to a soothing 10-minute shower. The influence of ice-cold water on hot skin can cause a thermal shock, so it should be cooled slowly - first with a lukewarm stream, and then with a cool stream. Later, you can help yourself with cold compresses in the form of frozen food wrapped in a cloth applied to the skin.

Burned skin desperately needs hydration. Relief will bring her compresses made of kefir , natural yoghurt or cool milk. They wonderfully soothe, and at the same time help to reduce irritation.

Cool boric acid compresses are another idea. Plant extracts of garlic and onion are also noteworthy. They have antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, you can easily buy them at a pharmacy or make them yourself.

Cosmetics containing vitamin E , allantoin, D-panthenol and hyaluronic acid also come to the rescue of suffering skin. Foams, lotions and lotions with these ingredients not only moisturize but also stimulate the skin regeneration process.

Thermal water spray also soothes sunburns. In addition, it is worth having cooling preparations in an aerosol or gel with you on vacation. They support the reconstruction of the layer of the epidermis damaged by the sun, and also reduce pain and soothe the skin.

If we just "burned", we can try one of several home remedies to deal with ailments. However, if you notice a fever and you feel unwell, do not delay going to the doctor. When symptoms are accompanied by nausea or loss of consciousness (even temporary), and extensive blisters appear on the skin, a visit to a specialist is a must.
