Sterckeman Evolution 520CP - a trailer perfect for a family

In the segment of medium-sized caravans, models with a GVM not exceeding 1500 kg are usually the most popular. They are large enough to provide comfortable living conditions for a family of 4, and also compact enough to be able to work in a harness with most tugs. Today we will present you another bestseller from Sterckeman from the Evolution series - the 520 CP model.

The very name of the model already determines the length of the inside of the building (external length is 580 cm, and the total length with a drawbar is 695 cm). So, 520 cm inside will be a living room with a fold-out bed, a kitchenette, a bathroom and a bedroom with a corner, fixed French bed.

The width of the building is 230 cm (215 cm inside), and the external and internal height is 258 and 195 cm, respectively. The tare weight of the trailer in running order is 1197 kg, and the GVM, depending on the customer's preferences, can be from 1400 to even 1800 kg. So many numbers by way of introduction. What can the trailer, currently costing about PLN 100,000 net, offer customers? Quite a lot.

We have already written about the decent value for money in the case of other Sterckeman models. It is no different with this proposal. The roof, walls and chassis made of laminate are an undoubted advantage - especially in terms of durability. A 5-year warranty on the tightness of the building proves that the manufacturer believes in the product offered. The quality of the insulation of structural elements is also important - the IRP technology is, in short, the minimization of the share of wood in the skeleton and the use of polystyrene and system connections that guarantee tightness and rigidity of the structure. Double windows with blackout blinds and mosquito nets are standard, as is the Truma 3004 gas heater with a 12-volt fan and a 14-liter boiler.

Entering the deck through the door at the back, first on the left we have a living room with a central table - after converting into a bed, we gain 160 / 130x210 cm of sleeping area. Above the living room, as well as around the entire interior - there are really spacious cabinets that will accommodate a large amount of luggage. Storage spaces for bedding and light equipment can also be found under the seats.

The kitchen is a paradise for gourmets and cooking enthusiasts - a three-burner gas stove and a sink on a large countertop are impressive. Unlike many caravans on the market, there is space for a work space and even an "L" shaped counter separating the kitchen from the living room. This is a very cool solution. Opposite the kitchen is a full-size wardrobe and a 150-liter fridge with freezer - especially families will appreciate this important detail.

The corner bathroom located next to the bed in front of the trailer is equipped with the necessary amenities - a washbasin, a toilet and a shower. The bed itself has dimensions of 140x200 cm and of course there is also a lot of space under the mattress for a holiday home. This model is ideally suited to use when traveling as a couple - then we will have a wonderfully large space and separate living and sleeping areas. It is worth noting that the standard capacity of the clean water tank is up to 50 liters. The manufacturer also adds a 30-liter mobile gray water tank. The electrical installation is made in accordance with the art - 4 230V sockets, USB sockets, lighting dimmer, LED lights, pre-installation for air conditioning and built-in battery.

Sterckeman Evolution 520CP - additional packages extending functionality

The range of standard equipment is quite decent. Demanding people, however, can opt for factory tuning (read enrichment) of the factory configuration. Here you will find the Arctic package offering an additional Ultraheat heater for 230V and an electrically heated floor. The Premium package, on the other hand, includes extras such as an additional 90 x 60 cm sunroof, spare wheel, electric access step, city water connection, external TV, gas and shower connections, a service hatch for easier access to the storage compartments from the outside, an I-NET module for monitoring and remote management of thermal comfort, changing the heating system to Truma Combi 6E (230V / gas) and a few other additions.
