At the end of 2015, Truma was certified for its professional energy and environmental management systems in accordance with DIN EN ISO 14001 and DIN EN ISO 50001.

The first of them - Environmental Management System (EMS), is a guarantee of quality and reliability in the scope of manufactured products, as well as their compliance with the principles of environmental protection. The second is the international standard for the recognition of best practices in energy efficiency. The ISO 50001 certificate also confirms the pro-ecological approach of the company, creating a positive image of a "socially responsible" company, because it obliges it to improve methods that result in reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

- By implementing good practices, we contribute to the protection of the environment and the global climate. This commitment therefore applies not only to durable, reliable and energy-saving products, but also to sustainable development in all aspects of our company's activities, explains Christian von Sassen, head of Truma.

Green energy

Truma's best practice is evidenced by the fact that approximately 25% of the total electricity demand is generated by solar collectors. The rainwater management system in the sanitary supply systems at the headquarters and production plant in Putzbrunn (near Munich) is also resource-efficient. The most important element of the installation are two water storage tanks with a capacity of 55,000 cubic meters. liters.

- And this is just the beginning - emphasizes managing director Frank Oster.

- Our goal is to reduce CO2 emissions by 20% over the next five years. We set such high standards because care for the protection of the natural environment is an integral part of our corporate culture.
