It's worth taking a city break and dropping by the German city of Leipzig on November 21-25. The Touristik & Caravaning Fair - the largest in this part of the country will be held there for 5 days.

There will be something to see! About 500 exhibitors will present their products and services in 4 halls with an area of 60,000 square meters. In addition to tourism, traveling, outdoor and cycling topics, a camping and caravanning offer will be presented.

Caravanning fair and… for DIY enthusiasts

We can expect the presence of all famous brands such as Hobby, Dethleffs, Sunlight, Euromobil, Concorde and many others. They will present their new products for the 2019 season.

In addition, the fair is a treat for DIY enthusiasts who create their own campers ! The organizers plan to talk to experts and exchange experiences. Visitors will find there everything worth knowing about technology and accessories. Well-known producers and distributors will present the latest trends in the industry, show the attractions of the coming season and advise both beginners and more experienced "campers". And all of this is waiting for you on an area of 40,000 sq m at the Leipziger Messe.

At the fair, we will get acquainted with the rich tourist offer . Tour operators and holiday regions, transport companies and hotels will present their proposals for the coming season. Everyone will find something for themselves, no matter where and how they want to travel. So if you are looking for a campground, luxury spa, hotel, holiday cottage, or maybe you want to go on an interesting trip with a travel agency, the organizers promise that you will find it in Leipzig. There will also be lectures and film screenings. He will talk about his adventures, among others Thomas Huber from the climbing duo Huber Brothers.

Will the center, which is perfectly suited to the term "city of modernism", be able to impress a tourist? The Saxon city of Chemnitz, because we are talking about it, can boast at least a few interesting places. During your holiday in Saxony , it is worth visiting the third largest (after Leipzig and Dresden) center of the region. It is situated on the river Chemnitz and has the same name. It was badly damaged during World War II, so today there are not many historic buildings in it. Most of them were replaced by factory halls, concrete blocks and modernist sculptures. Nevertheless, there are still some attractive places in Chemnitz that are worth seeing. They include, among others Klaffenbach Water Castle , located on the southern outskirts of the city, near the golf club. Together with the hotel and restaurant, it forms a complex surrounded by a beautiful landscape park. It is visited by tourists from various countries (including organized tours), and there are also many cultural events, outdoor events, workshops and exhibitions. Chemnitz also has a nice old Renaissance (Altes Rathaus) and Art Nouveau new town hall (Neues Rathaus). The historic part of the city is best seen from the Hoher Turm, the tower of the old town hall. While visiting Chemnitz , you can go to the top of one of the city's oldest buildings, the 12th-century Roter Turm (Red Tower), and visit the Jakobikirche, the Gothic church of St. James. An interesting point is the Gunzenhauser, a museum with a collection of modernist works, housed in the former seat of the local bank, and postal distance posts with the initials of the Polish king, Augustus II the Strong.
