Istra Premium Camping Resort – Istria, Croatia
Istra Premium Camping Resort was established in 2019 on the premises of another campsite. It is very modern and has a great Aquamar aqua park , which consists of five swimming pools, including one infinity, four large slides with a total length of 350 m, including the highest one called Twister Slide, which is 10 m high and other water attractions such as a castle with several smaller slides. These pools have water heated to 28°C, and the baby pool is up to 30°C and is partially shaded. Some pools have fresh water and others have salt water. The campsite also has water equipment and bicycle rentals, as well as brand new football, volleyball and basketball fields, and tennis courts.
Istria Camping is located directly by the sea. There are several rocky beaches along the 1.5 kilometer long coastline.
Attractions for children
In addition to the previously mentioned swimming pools with warm water and partial shade in the toddler zone, there are also many other attractions for children of all ages, including teenagers. There are sports tournaments, workshops, art and music classes, you can also play games or watch a movie at the cinema. Some of these activities are conducted in classrooms and playrooms. There is also a playground for small children indoors in case of bad weather. There are two water parks nearby: Istralandia and Aquacolors.
What to see?
Camping Istria is located close to the town of Funtana and about 6 km from the town of Poreč, which you definitely have to visit if you are nearby. We can organize a trip, e.g. for olive oil and wine tasting or to Pula.
Santa Marina Boutique Camping – Istria, Croatia
Santa Marina Boutique Camping is located just 3 km from the probably well-known Camping Lanterna (which, by the way, easily deserves 5 stars) on the peninsula of the same name. It was the first campsite in Istria to receive 5 stars. No wonder, because the campsite is very modern, has beautifully maintained paths and lots of plants - even in the toilets - and has recently undergone a major renovation.
It has a lot of new holiday homes and glamping tents that have been built in the last 2 years. Some of the cottages have a private swimming pool intended only for guests of the surrounding cottages. Interestingly, the campsite also offers cottages for 6 people. The campsite has a lot of pitches, including 39 premium pitches.
You can rent electric bikes at the campsite. You can also play beach volleyball, tennis or football on several different pitches, where animators also run sports tournaments for entire families.
The campsite is located approximately 800 m from the beach. You can get there on foot, by bike or by the camping van.
Attractions for children
A great playground right next to the barbecue area. The campsite provides animations for children and also has a children's room/club with toys, where, among others, art classes by professional animators. The campsite also has its mascot - a big blue fish that all children will love.
It also has beautiful bathrooms for children and a place for bathing and changing babies.
What to see?
The campsite is located halfway between Novigrad and Poreč. Both of these towns are worth seeing.
Krk Premium Camping Resort – Island Krk, Croatia
Krk Premium Camping Resort is the first 5-star campsite in Croatia. Krk is the largest island in Croatia and the Adriatic Sea, connected to the mainland by a bridge, and the old town of Krk is only 20 minutes away from the campsite. The campsite is family-friendly and very ecological: it has its own sewage treatment plant, segregates garbage, uses solar panels to produce energy and uses rainwater to water lawns.
There are as many as 500 plots on an area of 11 ha, including: there are holiday cottages and glamping tents.
The campsite is located directly by the sea and has several beaches (e.g. naturist beach and dog beach) with the Blue Flag.
All pools are heated to 28°C, and the children's pool up to 30°C
There is free Wi-Fi at the campsite.
Attractions for children
Children can have fun in the water park with heated water up to 30°C, which also has a water playground with slides. There is a great playground at the campsite, and there are also animations. There is an animation club called Maro Club, which offers classes for children from 3 years old. In the club, children even have nature classes in the garden. There are also rooms inside in case of bad weather. Older children will like the Teen Hangout zone, where they can, among others: watch movies and play PlayStation.
What to see?
Be sure to visit the old town of Krk. If you want to look for other beaches, check out the one in Njivice . It is also worth visiting the Biserujka cave.
Camping Omišalj – Krk, Croatia
The second campsite on the island of Krk that has 5 stars - Camping Omišalj - will delight primarily camper owners, because it has plots on the first coastline, but the holiday cottages also offer a beautiful view.
The beach at the campsite has a Blue Flag badge and the campsite pays special attention to caring for the environment around and within the campsite.
The campsite offers massage services at special points on the beach. You can enjoy the sea view while relaxing on the massage table.
The campsite also has places to charge electric cars.
Attractions for children
Older children will love the golf course. It's hard to call it mini golf, because this track looks like a real golf course! No one will be bored because the animation program is very wide. Animations are conducted by the pool, on the beach and in a special Mini Club for the youngest children.
There is a large playground and playing fields at the campsite, as well as a very nice recreational swimming pool , although I think that children will be most delighted with the proximity to the beach and the gentle access to the water.
What to see?
The campsite is located about 4 km from the town of Omišalj, which can be reached via a quiet street along the sea. The town itself is wonderfully situated - on a rock and offers a beautiful view. I also recommend going to the town of Stara Baška.
Falkensteiner Premium Camping – Zadar, Croatia
Falkensteiner Premium Camping was opened in June 2019, and the owners decided to turn it into a top-shelf facility, so from this year it is another 5-star campsite on the map of Croatia. The campsite is modern and designed with the comfort and safety of its guests in mind.
There is a total ban on car traffic on the campsite - there is free parking for guests of mobile homes and there is also the possibility of charging electric cars.
In addition to swimming pools with water heated to 29°C, it also has a SPA, wellness and even a gym. It is the only campsite in the area that is open all year round !
Attractions for children
Children's pool with a slide and water heated to 29°C. Animation program for children aged 3 to 12. There is also a playground right next to the pools.
What to see?
I especially recommend planning time in one of the 4 national parks around the campsite and going rafting or kayaking, visiting the Modric cave or the Kornati islands . The center of Zadar is only 2 km from the campsite. The Plitvice Lakes are 120 km from the campsite.
