A route for the brave

One of the advantages of the resort is the fact that Switzerland's longest via ferrata begins there. The route to the top of Dauberhorn leads not only through steep walls secured with steel ropes and ladders, but also through a natural cave approx. 100 meters long. The trail is considered extremely difficult (ED), but the views that can be observed during the hike are indescribable.

The Dauberhorn can also be reached from the Gemmi Pass. It houses the Lämmerenhütte chalet, offering hospitality to weary mountaineers. Lake Daubensee, which covers an area of km², is not far from the mountain pass. The Shepherd Festival takes place there every year.

However, what attracts the most tourists to Leukerbad is not the excellent location, landscapes, wide offer of winter entertainment, or even via ferrata, which guarantees an adrenaline rush. Every day, thermal pools fill with almost 4 million liters of water with a temperature of up to 51 ° C. There are 65 springs alone. Regardless of whether we have decided to stay in one of the smaller hotels, or maybe in a large Wellness & SPA center, many will be surprised by the wealth of therapeutic and relaxing treatments offered at the resort. The memory of muscle pain will quickly become a thing of the past, let alone any other ailments.

In addition to blissful rest and relaxation in the water, in Leukerbad you can spend time more actively, playing squash, enjoying the indoor tennis court, ice rink or curling hall. Let's not forget about the wide room for maneuver for lovers of long walks - over 10 km of marked trails await them.

Camping by the thermal springs

The 3-star Camping Sportarena is located in the immediate vicinity of the thermal springs. It is located at an altitude of 1411 m above sea level. restaurant and playground. Thanks to its great location, it is close to everything - just a few hundred meters away there are hiking trails, the center of the resort, SPA centers and shops are nearby.
