The best campsites in Poland for a trip with children – main image

Four family-friendly campsites in Poland: by the sea, in the Tatra Mountains, the Karkonosze Mountains, and Masuria. Check out amenities, prices, and attractions for children.

Camping, caravan, or campervan trips are becoming increasingly popular in Poland. According to Autokatalog , 2,714 campers were registered in the country from January to May 2026, over 16% more than the previous year. For families with children, choosing a campsite depends not only on the views. Restroom facilities, playgrounds, access to water, and the cost of the day are also important factors.

Below you'll find four campsites from different regions of Poland. Prices are from Camprest, based on a daily rate for two adults on a standard pitch with electricity, and are approximate. Therefore, it's best to confirm these rates directly with the campsite before booking.

Camping Stogi no. 218 – Gdańsk

The campsite is nestled in a pine forest in the Stogi district of Gdańsk, approximately 350 meters from the beach. Stogi is a seaside part of the city on the eastern side of the Martwa Wisła River, quieter than Sopot or Jelitkowo. The campsite is open from April 25th to October 5th, and costs PLN 74–87 per night.

Heated bathrooms, a family bathroom, a baby room, and facilities for people with disabilities are available. Pitches have a 6-amp power connection, and the grounds are fenced and guarded. On-site amenities include a laundry room, a grocery store, and a bar, and card payments are accepted.

The campsite doesn't have a pool or children's activities. A playground isn't listed in the description, so if you have small children, it's best to ask about it before your arrival.

Free Wi-Fi is available at one point on the campsite, but access is paid throughout the entire site. Many people use this connection at once, and shared Wi-Fi in accommodations can be a target for attacks, as Antyweb describes using hotels as an example. A VPN provides additional protection – it's worth checking the cost of an annual plan before your trip, along with other items in your budget.

What to do nearby:

  • relax on the beach, a few minutes' walk from the campsite,

  • take tram line 8 to the Old Town (approx. 20 minutes),

  • visit Westerplatte and see the ships entering the port.

From the coast, it is worth moving to the other end of Poland, to the Tatra Mountains.

Camp Gorący Potok – Szaflary

The campsite in Szaflary, Podhale, is open year-round, with some pitches located along the Biały Dunajec River. A day costs 99–170 PLN, depending on the season.

Right next door are the Gorący Potok Thermal Baths, which have a separate entrance from the campsite. Those staying here can purchase pool tickets or a package with unlimited admission, but Camprest doesn't disclose their prices.

The pitches have electricity up to 16 amps and water connections. The site also includes heated restrooms with family bathrooms and a baby room, as well as a playground and a playroom.

The campsite also has a tennis court, bicycle rentals, 24-hour security, and dogs are welcome. The terrain is flat, and the campsite's restrooms and one of the thermal spa pools are accessible to people with disabilities. Laundry is available for a fee, as is Wi-Fi throughout the grounds.

In winter, the campsite serves as a ski base: the nearest ski lift is about 10 km away, and is accessible by ski bus.

What to do nearby:

  • bathe in thermal baths all year round,

  • cycle along a section of the Velo Dunajec route,

  • go to Zakopane (approx. 15 km) and take the funicular to Gubałówka.

The mountains can also be combined with a less crowded destination – the Karkonosze Mountains.

Camp66 – Ściegny near Karpacz

Camp66 is located in Ściegny, a few kilometers from Karpacz, at the foot of the Karkonosze Mountains. The trails of Karkonosze National Park are a short drive away. A day costs between 62 and 78 PLN. This is the cheapest campsite on this list.

The 3-hectare site offers 70 pitches with electricity up to 6A, as well as tents with beds for those without their own equipment. The campsite has a playground, a playroom, a kitchen, a laundry room, and a restaurant serving vegetarian dishes.

The website description also lists pools, but doesn't specify which ones are actually open. Opening dates and pet policy must also be confirmed before arrival.

What to do nearby:

  • take the lift to Kopa and go to Śnieżka,

  • visit Western City in Ściegny with Wild West-style shows,

  • see the Wang temple in Karpacz.

The last suggestion is Masuria, where the main advantage is the lake.

Rydzewo Campsite at the Black Swan – Masuria

The campsite in Rydzewo is located on an isthmus between Lakes Niegocin and Boczne, near Giżycko. Rydzewo is a small village in the Masurian Lake District, popular during the sailing season. The campsite is open year-round, and nightly rates start at 80 PLN. There's an on-site inn, after which the campsite takes its name, and a grocery store is located about 300 meters away.

On 0.7 ha there are approximately 40 plots with electricity up to 6 A. The renovated sanitary building has toilets, showers with hot water and an automatic washing machine.

The lake's swimming area is unguarded, so children need constant supervision. Camprest also doesn't confirm there's a playground, and the information about Wi-Fi is contradictory: the description says it's free, but the list of amenities says it's paid.

What to do nearby:

  • kayaking on the nearby lakes,

  • visit the Boyen Fortress in Giżycko,

  • take a boat trip on the Great Masurian Lakes.
