A walk through the Polish Sahara
During your stay in this part of the Pomeranian Voivodeship, it is worth getting to know the greatest attraction of the Słowiński National Park - the moving dunes . They are a slow phenomenon. but still progressing. At a rate of 1.2-1.6 m per year, thousands of tons of sand move east and south-east. The whole process has its beginning in the sea, where the waves wash the grains onto the shore, and then the sun and wind complete the work - the dried and blown sand creates dunes. The largest of them, Dune Łącka, rises to a height of almost 42 meters. The phenomenon of wandering dunes is unique not only in Poland, but also throughout Europe, hence sometimes this area is referred to as the Polish Sahara . Due to the uniqueness of the area and the need to protect it , the Strict Spit Protection Area was created there. A 5-kilometer trail among the dunes was also created, which does not affect the process of their mixing, and at the same time allows you to admire the teamwork of the sea, sun and wind.
Camping by the Polish seaside
People looking for accommodation in close proximity to the center of the village will like the family camping InterCamp'84 . It is located 500 meters west of the heart of Łeba, and on its area (almost 4 ha) guests will find places for tents and stands for vehicles. Many of the plots are wooded, thanks to which they provide shade and coolness to vacationers in the summer. The location of the campsite is one of its main advantages - the western beach, one of the best beaches on the Polish coast, is about 600 meters away. Wide, with beautiful golden sand, it guarantees a wonderful rest with a view of the gentle waves of the Baltic Sea. Campsite guests have at their disposal a kitchen, washing machines, iron and dryer. They have access to wireless, free internet and TV. There is a playground for children and a ping-pong table. Evenings can be spent by the fire, in a specially designated place.
