What's worth seeing in Hamburg?
Many people will say that a few days are too short to visit all the city's tourist attractions. But if we want to spend the May weekend in Hamburg or even extend our stay for a few more days, nothing prevents us from spending this time intensively, seeing a lot, and relaxing at the same time. A good plan is enough. What's worth seeing? Certainly the port, which is the second largest port in Europe. The harbor wharf, which is lined with many ships and ferries, is a great pride of the locals. Another great attraction is the Alster lake in the heart of Hamburg and the city center with its Neo-Renaissance town hall and a series of shopping streets. A lot of tourists visit the city for shopping - then their destination is most often HafenCity, a modern industrial and commercial district. It houses the Elbe Philharmonic , one of the most modern philharmonics in the world.
Hamburg is eagerly visited by partygoers drawn by the famous street full of discos, pubs and nightclubs - the Reeperbahn . Along with St. Pauli is known as the Red Light District. There are cabarets and theaters in its vicinity, the Panoptikum, the wax museum, the Davidwache, the police station associated with movies and series, as well as the Beatles Square are nearby. The sports club FC St. Pauli. In this district, next to the Fish Auction Hall, there is also a fish market.
For many people, the first association with the city of bridges over the canals will be Venice, for others Amsterdam, but Hamburg has the most. Everywhere we come across larger and smaller bridges, holding the streets together like clamps. In conjunction with the German order and string architecture, this translates into an exceptionally picturesque landscape.
