The system is based mainly on e-vignettes, which are mandatory for passenger cars and light campers (GVW up to 3.5 tons), as well as on the electronic toll collection system (so-called e-toll) for vehicles weighing over 3.5 tons.

What are the penalties for not having a vignette?

Failure to pay a vignette may result in costly consequences, which usually include financial penalties. Each country that applies this type of toll has its own individual rates. In the case of the Czech Republic, the average fine for not having the appropriate vignette is CZK 3,000. We can receive a maximum fine of CZK 20,000.
