It is one of the most densely populated regions in Europe.

Flemish fries and beer

What is the Flemish Region famous for? From the kitchen! Flanders is known abroad mainly for its culinary specialties and Burgundian cuisine (often referred to as Belgian cuisine). Typical dishes are Flemish fries (popularly known as Belgian), as well as Flemish asparagus, chicory in ham-cheese sauce, cauliflower in béchamel sauce, Flemish stew, mussels or rabbit with plums. We can also taste great beer here (over 300 different kinds!).

When talking about the values ​​of the region, one cannot fail to mention the art that made Flanders famous all over the world. The most famous are Flemish primitivists: Hubert van Eyck, Jan van Eyck, Rogier van der Weyden, Hans Memling, as well as Flemish expressionist painters such as Constant Permeke. Architecture in the art nouveau and art deco styles developed dynamically here. People who like contact with nature will appreciate the numerous nature parks: Hoge Kempen National Park, Border Park De Zoom-Kalmthoutse Heide, Zwin Natuur Park, Forêt de Soignes beech forest, Mechels Broek and Peerdsbos. It is worth going camping in Flanders and appreciating all the advantages of this place.
