A motorhome from the manga country

This combination can really surprise you. Can you imagine a hybrid Toyota Prius in a camping version? Now you don't have to strain your imagination! Such a vehicle was shown at the Tokyo Auto Salon. Interestingly, it's not just a prototype.

German journalists from "Auto Bild" dubbed this strange motorhome the Quasimodo because of the hump that grew the T oyocie Prius in the rear of the body. Commentators agree - the model called Relax Cabine is not pretty. The designers from Camp-Inn Japan did not even try to hide that the "relaxation" superstructure made of glass fiber reinforced plastic was glued to the car by force.

Behind the transparent door

An interesting fact is that at the back of the car we find a large door, as if we were dealing with a full-size motorhome. In the version shown at the fair, the door was transparent, but from the inside it can be covered with a roller blind pulled from the ceiling.

What can also be found in the interior may be surprising. If someone expects a large amount of equipment, a toilet or a sink, they will be disappointed. There are, however, two floors that can be used as an accommodation for up to four people . The upper level can be dismantled, transforming its floor into ... a table. In addition to sleeping, red pillows are also eye-catching inside.

As the manufacturer did not try to stuff typical camping equipment into the passenger interior, a relatively large amount of space may surprise inside. However, you can enjoy it lying down. The impression of a large amount of space is enhanced by the bright, creamy-red colors .

Among the extras, in Relax Cabine you will find electrical sockets and additional LED backlight. There is also a large sunroof that can be exposed by folding the ceiling / floor between "floors". Then a lot of light enters the vehicle.

The car is 50 cm longer and 56 cm higher than the standard Toyota Prius . The price in Japan is the equivalent of over 50,000. dollars. Apparently, however, the dubious beauty of this vehicle does not deter customers from it and the first copies have already been sold.

Go, sleep, save

The Relax Cabine is a very original vehicle that actually serves only one purpose. If we fall asleep during a long journey, we don't have to look for a hotel. It is enough to stop at any parking lot and lie down to sleep on large (and hopefully - comfortable) mattresses. And we have to get water and toilet elsewhere.

Let's not forget about the ecological and economic aspect - after all, the Prius is a hybrid , so long journeys in such a vehicle should turn out to be cheaper than in a typical motorhome.
