A spacious living room in a motorhome? Challenger!

A spacious living room in a motorhome? Challenger! – main image

Motorhomes are mobile "houses on wheels" but in a "mini" version. This statement applies to most of them, but not to the Challenger brand. It is she who offers semi-integrated motorhomes with an extraordinary living room in the XXL version. This is where you will spend time with your family, rest after skiing on the slopes or just take a short nap.

A motorhome with an engine capacity of up to 2 liters

Challenger motorhomes are available from CarGO! Why is it worth being interested in them? Because of a few reasons. First of all, we have a Ford Transit chassis at our disposal. The two-liter unit with 170 horsepower is very efficient and economical at the same time. It is also a lower excise tax, which translates directly into a lower purchase price of the entire vehicle. The Challenger is therefore an interesting proposition also from an economic point of view.

The chassis works perfectly with the 6-speed automatic transmission. The motorhome does not get tired during steep climbs and the user only has the joy of traveling. Ford is also a well-equipped base. As standard, we get two airbags, a twilight and rain sensor, a heated windshield and cruise control.

Comfortable and spacious living room in a motorhome

Let's move on to the buildings themselves, because this one is extremely interesting. Among all the vehicles, the Graphite series is the most popular. It is well equipped and looks good. Most importantly, we get a spacious XXL living room as standard in every floor layout. And you really have to believe these words. It's hard to find another semi-integrated car that offers such a gigantic space in a relatively small area. How was this done? The long table can be moved freely, we can easily fold it in half and thus provide a free passage from the middle part of the motorhome to the cab itself. There are sofas on both sides of the living room - wide and comfortable. In this way, each of the crew sits directly in front of each other. You can freely have a conversation, eat a meal or play your favorite board game. There will be plenty of space, we guarantee!

Above the cabin, designers have added a large roof window that allows a lot of sunlight into the interior of the motorhome. Right next to it you will find the first electric double bed. Importantly, we will transform the living room into a bedroom without any additional modifications to the table or sofas. It is important if we just want to stand up and go to sleep quickly.

The kitchen area is fixed, regardless of the chosen floor layout. The aforementioned living room also affects the space available in this place. Two people in the main corridor will pass each other without any problems and for fans of cooking we have good news: communication spacious fridge-three-burner gas stove and sink poses no problems. There is no need to mention additional compartments and drawers - their number is more than enough.

Three layouts for different needs

Among the wide range of Challenger motorhomes there are three floor layouts. The first, designated 347GA, has two single beds at the back that can be joined together. Wardrobes for clothes are located underneath them. The bathroom and toilet are one room, but with a separate shower cubicle. In this configuration, the large fridge is next to the kitchenette.

It looks a bit different in the 348XLB model. In the back there is an island bed or, if you prefer, a king bed. It is slightly raised, but thanks to this, we can even fit bicycles in the garage. The shower and toilet are separate rooms that can be additionally separated from the rest of the motorhome. In this way, with one hand movement, we create a space in which we can take a shower, change clothes and go "to the city" or ... to bed.

The last layout, 380, is recommended mainly for families with children. In total, there are as many as 5 places to ride and sleep. In the "Ford" version, the motorhome measures a reasonable 7.19 m in length. In the back there are two two-story sleeping places. They are so big that an adult will also sleep there without any problems. The space saved was used for a gigantic wardrobe, a spacious bathroom and a shower cabin. Words will not describe it, but believe it (or see for yourself in CarGO!) - living with a crew of 5 people, no one will get on the proverbial head.

All Graphite Challengers are well-equipped. So we have a rear view camera, an entrance door with a window and a built-in mosquito net, a central locking in the door, an outer GFK coating that protects our vehicle from hail.

The appearance of both the upholstery and the furniture itself deserves a separate paragraph. In short, it is very nice and aesthetic and the ubiquitous LED lights support, not disturb. Pay attention to the "ORFEO" version of the furniture - this is our personal favorite.

Challengers are also featured on a Fiat chassis. The rich offer includes not only semi-integrated cars, but also vans, integrated cars and alcoves. Something for everyone.

I would like to add that at the time of writing this article, the Challenger dealer, the CarGO! from Poznań has several copies of these motorhomes available immediately.
