Adria has refreshed the range of Altea caravans. We will look at the smallest of the models in this series, which in Germany costs 15-17 thousand. euro.

The smallest Altea, marked with the symbol PH 369, is a compromise proposition, especially worth recommending to a couple who dream of a new caravan, but cannot afford any "fancy" model.

Tight but own

Users have only 462 cm of length at their disposal. Including the drawbar , the trailer measures 603 cm . And it just has to be a bit tight at that length, even if there are two people traveling in the caravan. However, the small size also has advantages. The vehicle weighs 1049 kg, which is enough to be towed even by a light car with low power.

The construction of Altea may come as a surprise. The walls are made of layers of sheet metal, plywood and polystyrene. And yet in modern constructions the use of plywood is abandoned! Fortunately, the roof is made of glass fibers (GRP) , which should protect it, for example, against the effects of hail.

Modern but tight

From the outside, the Altea looks quite typical and there is actually nothing to think about. More can be said about the interior. New furniture has large flat surfaces devoid of additional decorations . Inside you will also find elements made of brushed aluminum and, for example, a stainless steel sink. It all looks neat and modern, so it will probably appeal to young people who are the first to get this caravan.

From the practical side, well, it's narrow . Entering the caravan, on the left side (at the rear wall of the caravan) we find a kitchen worktop with a sink and a 3-burner stove. Directly from the entrance, there is a dining corner. Theoretically, it is designed for 4 people. In practice - only two people can fit there without any problems.

The table and sofas can be turned into a double bed in an emergency, but the main one is to the right of the entrance. There is a bathroom to the side of the bed . Unfortunately, in order to be able to mark the passage to the bathroom, the bed's legs had to be cut a bit.

Space-saving patents

In the bathroom you will find a chemical toilet, a foldable washbasin and a height-adjustable shower. Considering the amount of space available throughout the caravan, the bathroom deserves praise.

Just like the idea of a hanging wardrobe . It is located above the bed, above the legs of one of the sleeping persons, but it does not interfere with anything. A cupboard can fit, for example, several hangers with shirts.

A large storage space is under the bed . You can get to it by sliding the foam mattress and opening the slatted frame upwards, but there is also another possibility. The storage space can also be accessed from the outside by opening the low but wide door.

Included as standard ...

The trailer is equipped with a fairly large - 190-liter refrigerator, a 50-liter fresh water tank and a 25-liter container for sewage .

The vehicle is dominated by LED lighting in line with the current fashion. Doubts can be raised by the modest Truma S 3004 heating system, but the manufacturer ensures that it is sufficient for such a small caravan. There is no air recirculation system in the small Altea.

Is it worth choosing Altea in its shortest version? Each potential customer has to decide for himself. However, it can be quite an interesting proposition for people traveling as a pair.
