The military, and later civilian, VW T181 car model cost an average of $3,000 during its production years. The manufacturer set the price level at around 1974. This amount corresponded to the average prices of cars at that time in a similar equipment class.

Or maybe you have an iconic Volkswagen in your garage? Regardless of the model, you should take care of its technical and visual condition. You can find all the necessary spare parts in the Garbus online store.

How much does a VW T181 cost nowadays?

At the moment, the Volkswagen T181 is a vintage car that is becoming increasingly difficult to find on the roads. If you do come across a model preserved in a collector's condition, its price can reach close to $50,000. Converted to złoty, it is around PLN 200,000.

In practice, the prices of a vintage VW T181 depend on the year of production, equipment standard and the general condition in which the car has been preserved.

What to look for before buying a VW T181?

Before you decide to buy the iconic Volkswagen T181, be sure to pay attention to several parameters and factors. The most important are:

  • year of production,
  • country of origin,
  • technical and visual condition,
  • presence of corrosion spots on the frame or sheet metal elements,
  • vehicle documentation.

Based on these factors, you will be able to assess the real value of such a vehicle. This will tell you whether the proposed sale price has any bearing on reality. Remember that classic cars are constantly gaining in value, especially those kept in excellent condition.

If you manage to buy a VW T181 for restoration, you will probably be able to make money on such a project after carrying out the necessary work. To make the work go faster, be sure to order the necessary engine, bodywork and other parts from the Garbus online store.

Where can you buy a VW T181 at a good price?

These types of cars can currently only be bought from collectors and enthusiasts of the brand. You can look for VW Thing for sale on online auctions (including foreign ones), as well as at rallies. These are the only good ways to look for an iconic car in good technical and visual condition.

However, buying a VW T181 is no small feat. There are fewer and fewer well-preserved models on the global market that are still suitable for use or restoration.

If you want to have a unique car in your garage, then you can buy such a Volkswagen. However, be prepared for an expense that can exceed one hundred thousand zlotys.

Places to visit
Family trip to Malbork
Usually, visiting museums sounds not very interesting to children and teenagers. What can be interesting about walking through rooms filled with objects that cannot be touched and listening to the (often) monotonous voice of the guide? There is a place where a trip to the past is not only not boring - it will engage every child, guaranteeing them a great adventure. This place is not far away at all, it is waiting for little guests here, in Poland, in Malbork. Imagine a trip to the medieval castle where the Grand Master of the Teutonic Knights and his knights lived hundreds of years ago. At the beginning you receive special knight's hoods and wax tablets. The letters written on them will create a Latin maxim that will need to be translated into Polish at the end of the journey. During the expedition, you will meet a lady with a harp, a mint master and an ambersmith, and you will follow a guide dressed in an ancient costume. Discovering the secret of the castle will not be easy - the task is interrupted by a clown trying to distract your attention. At the end of the journey, you will meet the Grand Master and the monastic knights, and you will receive a special certificate, proof of being the discoverer of the castle's secrets. Doesn't such a trip sound attractive? It is not associated with moving one foot at a time from one room to another - on the contrary, the "Secrets of Malbork Castle" route arouses great interest among visitors. This is a completely different way to learn about history, as well as the opportunity to test your skills in crossbow and bow shooting, or your accuracy in throwing a spear and axe. There are more applicants than places, so it is not surprising that long queues form during the period in which it is organized (May 1 - September 30). You can go on the route every day except Monday, between 10:00 and 11:30. After leaving the interior of the castle, it is worth going to the nearby Żuławy Ceramic Village, where at one of the Artistic Crafts points you can see how easy it is to make something out of clay yourself. During the workshops, you can leave your child under the care of the instructor.
