Hymer ML-T - A Mercedes for camping

For this year's CMT trade fair in Stuttgart, which takes place in January, Hymer has prepared an interesting novelty. It is the ML-T model, the base of which is the Mercedes Sprinter. Hymer ML-T is a semi-integrated vehicle, so in the front it looks like a typical delivery truck, but in the back, instead of a luggage space, it has a camping section. You can choose from versions with a 4-cylinder engine with 129 HP and a 6-cylinder engine with 190 HP. The 7G-Tronic 7-speed automatic transmission is also available on request.

Only for two

The car is available in two construction variants, which differ only in sleeping places . The 560 version has one double bed, while the 580 has two separate sleeping places. So although a maximum of four people can travel by car, not all of them will be able to stay overnight in the car. The manufacturer decided that it was better to guarantee more comfort for two people than to provide a crush for four passengers.

Hymer ML-T is 695 cm long and 222 cm wide. The total height is 290 cm, but taking into account only the usable height of the interior, it will be only 198 cm. The standard permissible total weight is 3.5 tons, but you can also order a vehicle with a GVM of 3,880 or 4,200 kg.

One of the advantages of this car is definitely a mini-garage. Its dimensions are 100 x 121 cm, which is more than enough to fit, for example, two bicycles. There is also a storage space for two gas cylinders in the garage.

There were also lockers

The interior of the car does not differ much from what we can find in other motorhomes, but it is worth paying attention to a few elements. In Hymera ML-T we should not complain about the Egyptian darkness. A large number of LED lamps and a panoramic sunroof at the front of the vehicle will ensure a lot of light. There should also be fresh air - the cabinets are ventilated and there is a skylight with a fan above the bed.

The advantage is a large number of various compartments - you can find them really everywhere! In addition, in Hymera ML-T we can appreciate such amenities as a separate shower cubicle, soft-closing cabinets in the kitchen, and in the case of using audiovisual equipment, also a balanced sound distribution throughout the vehicle. The handbrake lever can be folded down so that the seats turn freely.

The star obliges

There is no reason to complain about the equipment itself. The refrigerator has a capacity of 142 liters , which should be enough for two, even voracious people. The Truma Combi 6 system will ensure that they do not freeze. To make sure that the heating will be sufficient even in harsh conditions, the manufacturer has tested its operation in special cold stores.

The water tank offers an impressive 120 liters of capacity , of which a 20 liter container can even be used while driving. The waste water tank has a capacity of 100 liters. When you buy Hymera ML-T, you will also receive a wooden table with the possibility of turning 180 degrees, foam mattresses, and, at an additional cost, also underfloor heating , a roof air conditioner, one or two televisions, and even an oven.

Hymer took the fact that he offers Mercedes to heart and decided that the vehicle with the star in the logo would be a higher standard motorhome. It seems that he has succeeded - in ML-T, two people can spend their free time really comfortably, despite the fact that they do not have a particularly large amount of space.
