The Swedish company Kabe has been producing camping vehicles since 1960. Over 50 years of experience in the production of equipment that must also cope with harsh winter conditions, allows us to believe that the latest motorhomes of this brand will also cope with weather challenges.

It all started with one man's passion. In 1958, Kurt Blomqvist had an idea to build a caravan for his family. The idea turned out to be a bull's eye, not only because the camping trips turned out to be very successful. Kurt's trailer caused such a sensation that this full-time SAAB employee quickly received an order to produce more trailers, this time for sale. The business was going so well that Blomqvist quit his job after a while and focused entirely on growing the company. Kabe has many patents to his credit - it was this company that developed the underfloor heating system and constructed air ducts in the walls.

Today, in addition to caravans, Kabe also produces motorhomes. The company's offer includes three basic models - two semi-integrated and one fully integrated, which with its modern appearance does not resemble the Fiat Ducato on which it is based. Interestingly, each model is called Travel Master , and the number designation of a given version indicates the length of the vehicle. The fully integrated model alone is available in as many as 12 variants - including two and three wheel axles.

The top model in the Kabe hierarchy is the I910 QB . The total length of the vehicle is 910 cm and the width is 231 cm. The height is 295 cm. 3 people can travel by car, but in the case of an overnight stay, 4 berths are available. In this version, the bathroom is completely separated from the shower cubicle, and the kitchen countertop line has a convenient indentation .

The interior solutions are similar to many other European motorhomes, and a special feature is the drop-down bed , on the bottom of which there are slats in the shape resembling a triangle. LED lamps are placed in the strips. A large selection of upholstery and the good workmanship of the furniture, which is visible at first glance, are other characteristic features of Kabe.

As standard, we will receive, among others heated waste water tank (90 liters) and fresh water tank of identical capacity, refrigerator, extractor hood and oven with grill. The underfloor heating is integrated with an additional heater under the driver's and passenger's seats. The equipment also includes a boiler, an electrically heated windshield and a dimmer for the main ceiling lamp .

Swedish innovations

The body of each Kabe vehicle has a sandwich structure - that is, it consists of layers of fiberglass and wall coverings that prevent moisture. Additionally, a thin aluminum plate has been used to minimize the impact of temperature fluctuations.

The individual body parts are connected using patented plastic bolts , which allow for a solid connection and at the same time are resistant to moisture.

In addition, Kabe patented polyurethane window frames in which double glazing is placed. The frames are ventilated and, at the same time, properly insulated.

Among the Kabe innovations is also a soft ceiling , which provides better acoustics and additionally insulates the roof. And because it is white and smooth, it reflects light well , brightening the interior.

The furniture is manufactured by the manufacturer in its own carpentry shop, which guarantees that it is fully adapted to the vehicles in which it is installed.

These technical examples show best why you should be interested in Kabe caravans and motorhomes. In this case, it is not about the original external appearance, nor about unusual interior layouts, because we will rather not find them in them. But good equipment and elaborate details of the construction give reasons to give the Swedes the trust that they have worked hard for.
