LANCE - buildings for PickUp
On the Lance brand website, I go to the "Campers" tab. However, I don't see pictures of motorhomes there. Instead, photographs of the superstructures with a characteristic, long "beak" are presented.
Americans have a completely different approach to caravanning than Europeans. In Europe, either caravans or small vans with camping bodies are eagerly bought. The United States, on the other hand, is famous for its powerful camping buses and less demanding in terms of budget, built-up pickups.
House on the pace
Such buildings are sold under the Lance brand. The company does not sell complete cars, only a living area that needs to be attached to your pickup truck. The "bow" mentioned at the beginning is an alcove placed above the roof of the driver's cabin - it is able to accommodate a large double bed. Currently, the offer includes 11 versions of the body , and the differences between the individual models are significant.
The most important thing, of course, is the length. The shortest model 825 measures approx. 5 meters and can accommodate 5 people. The longest versions (e.g. 1191) are over 6 meters long and can accommodate up to 7 people. However, the differences also apply to the interior layouts, although in each layout, placing the bed at the top means that it does not affect the spaciousness of the living area.

The kitchen can be L-shaped or have a standard layout (sink and kitchen side by side). All versions have a chemical toilet and a shower, and only the shortest model does not have a wash basin in the bathroom . In smaller models, bathrooms are cramped, as evidenced by the fact that using the toilet requires placing your feet in the paddling pool. This problem has been solved only in the largest models - there the shower is next to the toilet.
As many as 6 of the presented versions have a sliding wall in the dining room . This means that during a stop, you can enlarge the interior by sliding out the wall (with a window), next to which there is a sofa and a table.
superiority complex
Hold on tight! In the equipment of one of the largest models - 1172 - the fresh water tank has a capacity of 158 liters , while in Europe a 100-liter tank is rather an exceptional exception to the rule than the standard. Tanks for gray water and heavier sewage have 132 liters of capacity each. The refrigerator is a bit more typical, although 170 liters is also not enough.
In addition, the standard equipment is not surprising. However, it is worth taking a look at the list of additional elements. For an additional fee, our camping equipment can be equipped with solar panels, a propane-butane gas distributor, enabling connection to an already "occupied" cylinder, eg an external grill , and even a night vision camera ! There is no need to dwell on such obvious things as a 24-inch TV set with a satellite dish.
For the new Lance superstructure you need to allocate at least 21 thousand. dollars . More information can be found directly on the manufacturer's website www.lancecamper.com
