Pilote Pacific P716P - one of eighteen

Pilote is a French brand that offers a wide range of motorhomes - from Foxy camper vans to the integrated Galaxy and Premium Class series. The most popular, however, are still the models from the Pacific series. Semi-integrated vehicles are offered under this name.

Pacific was not created to surprise with its appearance. You can see what we are dealing with immediately. The front of the Fiat Ducato, the caravan widened in relation to the driver's cabin - aesthetic, but typical for this category of vehicles appearance. However, the number of available versions may be surprising.

The choice is huge

There are as many as 18 basic variants of the Pacific model on sale. There are motorhomes from 5.99 m to 7.45 m in length . Some buildings have double beds placed in the corner of the cabin, others have central French beds or single beds.

In addition, in some versions, the Pacific has drop-down beds at the front (single or double). The layouts of bathrooms can also be different - integrated with a shower cubicle or with a toilet and shower located on opposite sides.

We were particularly interested in the P716P model, because this version will be tested during the Caravan Salon in Dusseldorf. Soon after returning, we will write about the impressions of driving and using this motorhome from the perspective of a family traveling with less than a year old child.

For four and even for six

The length of this vehicle is 7.15 m - so it is one of the longest Pacifics. The width is 2.3 m, and the height of the interior is 1.87 m, so only the "two-meter" people will have to bow their heads.

The manufacturer states that 5 people can travel inside, and up to 6 can fit at the table. But let's not exaggerate - this motorhome is designed for a maximum of 4 people, because there are enough places to sleep.

What's inside the P716P?

The main bed is 130 x 195 mm with foam mattresses. The bed is located directly above the garage, thanks to which we can easily get to the things in it - just lift the bed.

The interior layout is interesting. The bedroom and bathroom are two rooms separated from the dining and living area with sliding doors . In the P716P model, the toilet and sink are located in the same room as the shower tray. The bathroom does not seem large, but in the test we will check how comfortable it is to use.

The kitchen and dining area with spacious sofas seems spacious. A kitchen with three burners and a sink has a shape similar to the letter "L" , thanks to which cooking should be more convenient than with a traditional layout.

The second bed is in the front part of the vehicle - it is placed under the ceiling. After leaving it, we will create a quite cozy room with our own bedside lamps . The bed lowers so low that most people will be able to sit comfortably upstairs. It is worth mentioning that energy-saving LED lighting has been used throughout the motorhome.

Engine and equipment

The basic version of the equipment is called Essential and it includes a whole lot of amenities. These include, for example, the Truma 4000 W Combi 4 heating system, a 105-liter refrigerator, wiring for solar panels, or a panoramic roof window (620x420 mm). Of course, the motorhome has 12V and 230V sockets and a USB output.

As standard, we get a car with a 130 HP engine , equipped with manual air conditioning in the driver's cabin. There are also curtains to cover the windows in the cabin.

The maximum authorized total weight of the Pilote P716P is 3.5 tonnes, with a load capacity of 530 kg . The motorhome has a roof with a polyester coating for protection against hail, and a polyester coating under the floor.

If you are interested in how the Pilote Pacific P716P will work for a family with a child, you will be able to read about it in early September. This will be the first, but certainly not the last, of our motorhome tests.

We would like to remind you that PILOTE motorhomes are available from the general distributor of this brand in Poland, the CarGO company! Rent a Camp from Poznań.
