The Webasto panoramic infrared-absorbing roof was awarded the Plus X 2015 award. The product was appreciated by the jury in the categories of Innovation and High Quality.

The award-winning Webasto panoramic roofs are made of lightweight polycarbonate plastic (Makrolon® manufactured by Bayer MaterialScience). One of the main advantages of the roof system is its ability to absorb solar energy, which prevents the car interior from heating up too much. The ability to absorb infrared is also ecologically beneficial. Less heating of the car interior reduces the need for air conditioning, which in turn reduces fuel consumption. The innovative roof system is another milestone in the development of solutions that ensure comfort for all passengers.

Our product from the automotive sector has been awarded by the consumer goods industry. This means that the innovative technologies we propose are popular and gain recognition on a large scale - said Dr. Holger Engelmann, CEO of Webasto SE.

Do you feel a breath of fresh air? Here are new motorhomes that will not be available for sale until 2015. Let's check what we can expect from refreshed products from popular manufacturers. Hobby fills the gaps in its offer. In a separate article, we described the Vantana model, which will be the cheapest proposition of this brand. Optima is to fill the gap between the Siesta and Premium models. So it will be a medium-sized semi-integrated motorhome . The car is to be available in four lengths : 599 cm, 673 cm, 698.4 cm and 738 cm, so everyone should find something for themselves. The chosen length will have the greatest impact on the spaciousness of the bathroom. In the shorter versions it will be a tight corner where the toilet almost merges with the shower tray, in the medium ones - the shower cubicle will look more like the home one, and in the largest - it will be placed in a room separate from the bathroom.

A caravanning trip on colder days, and above all in winter, requires us to be more involved in preparing for the trip. Especially if you are traveling in a slightly older motorhome or with a caravan that is poorly insulated. In this case, apart from checking the tightness of windows and doors, a good solution is to equip your vehicle with a heating mat. The heating mat has the main advantage that it can be used in a variety of ways. If you are traveling in a motorhome , a good method of evenly distributing the heat is to isolate the driver's cabin from the other part of the vehicle in which we live during the journey with a mat . Another use of the heating mat is the possibility of heating a water tank, e.g. in a shower cabin. The heating power of this type of mat is so high that it is able to protect against water freezing even at a temperature of -40 °. The built-in thermostat automatically turns the device on and off - depending on the air temperature.
