Weinsberg Cara One - the trailer was appreciated

In a comparison made by the Dutch magazine "Camping, Cars & Caravans", costing approx. 10 thousand. The Weinsberg trailer euro turned out to be the test winner.

The editors of the magazine, testing the low-budget caravans, appreciated the CaraOne 420 QD model by Weinsberg. The testers noted, among others for comfortable beds, good-quality furniture, a well-presented living room, and some storage solutions.

The tested model was the second - counting from the cheapest - model in the Weinsberg collection. The 400 LK version cost 1,000 euros less. However, there are a total of 8 versions of trailers to choose from.

The smallest or the biggest?

The shortest one measures 592 cm , and 400 cm can be used inside. The weight of the vehicle with standard equipment is 890 kg. Additionally, 150 kg can be loaded. The trailer has 4 sleeping places. Despite its small size, there is room for a bathroom with a toilet, shower and washbasin, as well as a kitchen, although a 3-burner stove with a sink actually took up the entire worktop. The price of such a trailer with standard equipment in Germany is 9,590 euros .

The longest version is the 740 UDF model, which measures 938 cm on the outside and 746 cm on the inside. Its maximum permissible total weight is 1900 cm. This trailer can accommodate up to 8 sleeping places . Almost every piece of furniture, even if it is not a bed at first glance, can be transformed into a place to stay. In this version, two tables with surrounding seats are planned, but the kitchen and bathroom have not significantly increased in spaciousness. Price - 18,990 euros .

Interestingly, both the shortest and the longest versions include single, bunk beds designed mainly for children. However, such a solution was not used in some intermediate models.

In all models, the walls are 31 mm thick and the floor is 38 mm thick. The sides of the trailer are made of aluminum, while the rear and front are made of sheet metal. The trailer has an additional compartment for two gas cylinders.

With identical equipment

The standard equipment of each version is identical. There are actually only two exceptions to this rule. The first is the lack of a curtain that could act as a partition separating the sleeping area from the living area in the 480 UE model, which has two separate beds instead of a "matrimonial" bed. The second is the replacement of the Truma S3002 heater in the longest version with the more efficient S5002 system.

The interior was lit with LED lamps (although the editors of the above-mentioned text decided that the lighting was not sufficient), using 12V voltage . There is a 230V socket outside the trailer. The floor of the trailer is made of PVC.

The standard equipment also includes: a 15-liter fresh water tank, a submersible pump, a 107-liter electric and gas refrigerator, a toilet cassette, a washbasin with a mirror, a 3-burner stove and a stainless steel sink (both covered with a glass table top) and a sewage disposal system located under the floor .

The list of additional equipment is also rich. We can buy, among others underfloor heating, a 25-liter waste water tank, a 45-liter water tank, a 189-liter refrigerator, shower equipment, even light alloy wheels and ... a bedspread.
