Weinsberg CaraCompact leaves no choice

CaraCompact is a new model of the semi-integrated motorhome from Weinsberg. The motorhome based on the new Fiat Ducato will be available only in one variant for the time being.

The CaraCompact gives the impression of a compact and even a bit "muscular" vehicle. Its silhouette looks very proportional thanks to its relatively small width of 220 cm. The interior is 205 cm wide. The car is 674 cm long and its height is 272 cm (inside - 200 cm).

The permissible total weight is standard, so it amounts to 3.5 tons. The maximum load capacity is 740 kg .

With a fold-out top

The variant, which will be available as the only one for now, includes two single beds in the rear of the vehicle, as well as a large garage. Interestingly, access to the compartments under the relatively high-placed beds (196 x 80 cm) is facilitated by side-sliding blinds .

The kitchen worktop with a gas cooker and a sink is small, but it can be enlarged thanks to the additional, foldable part of the worktop. Underneath it are large, soft-closing drawers .

Also, the table located between the driver's and passenger's seats and the double sofa has an additional element that allows it to increase its surface.

Of course, there is a bathroom with a shower in the car - it is not very big, but it has enough space for everything necessary.

Lots of shelves

The interior looks modern and aesthetic, and a good impression is influenced by both small things, such as solid handles , and practical solutions in the form of a large number of open shelves . The use of LED lighting has a positive effect on the aesthetics of the interior.

The equipment of the CaraCompact model includes, among others 149-liter refrigerator , 110-liter fresh water tank and 95-liter waste water tank, as well as the Truma Combi 4 gas heating system with a 10-liter boiler. Some equipment packages also include LED strips located above the cabinets and under the table top.

Valves accessible externally

The car has a fairly typical design. The walls are "sandwiches" using polystyrene and aluminum. Glass fibers are used in the construction of the roof , which, apart from the fact that it is made of GfK material, is also additionally insulated.

From the outside, CaraCompact does not arouse emotions - it is aesthetic, but certainly not extravagant. Convenient external access to the appropriate onboard equipment valves, all of which are properly labeled, should be appreciated.

The basic version of the car costs 43,990 euros in Germany , but the manufacturer offers the option of adding additional packages to the vehicle. The packages include, among others heated and insulated waste water tank , alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights and a reversing camera.

For now, CaraCompact is only available in one version, but the manufacturer is already working on new variants and interior layouts.

During this year's Caravan Salon Dusseldorf 2014 , the WEINSBERG brand will present its new vehicle as the CaraCompact "Glut" showcar.
