You can rent a motorhome

If you are interested in traveling, but you do not feel like exploring the world by looking out the window of your hotel room or chasing a pilot carrying out a tight tour program, think about a camper van. Importantly, you don't have to own it to start the adventure of your life.

A motorhome, or a camping car, can make you feel almost no limitations during your vacation. No more dependence on vacancies in a hotel or on the "whim" of a travel agency. You can go wherever you want and spend as much time as you like.

If you want to start your adventure with caravanning, you don't have to buy a camping car right away. Before you decide to buy, check if this way of rest is right for you. The best way is to rent a motorhome.

What should you know before choosing the right campervan rental ? First of all, find out about the prices. Importantly, they are not rigid. The price depends on the type and size of the vehicle you want to rent, but also on the season you are planning your trip. This means that you will pay a lot more for a well-equipped motorhome for six people in the summer season than for a four-person motorhome without even air conditioning in the winter season.

In addition, some companies give discounts if the car is rented for 14 days or more, when orders are made by regular customers, or when more than one vehicle is rented at the same time (e.g. when you are traveling with a group of friends).

The price of renting a motorhome is usually in the range of PLN 300-600 gross per night. When estimating the costs, you should also take into account a returnable deposit in the amount of approx. PLN 4,000 - 5,000.

Penalties are charged for not returning the car on time, as well as for any damage to the vehicle. When estimating expenses, you should also take into account that all costs related to the operation of the motorhome during the rental period (except for possible repairs) are borne by the client.

Importantly, although most of the available motorhomes in rental companies are vans up to 3.5 tons, so a category B driving license is enough to drive them, there may also be larger vehicles that will require a category C driving license.

After the rental period, the car should be washed and refueled. The customer should also empty the toilet and refill the water supply. If he does not, he must take into account additional contractual fees. Many rentals do not allow animals to be transported in motorhomes. If this prohibition is broken and the animal gets dirty or destroys the equipment, then costs must also be taken into account.

All rented vehicles should have third party liability and motor insurance purchased by the owner of the rental companies. Before that, however, you need to check whether the insurance will definitely apply in the country you are going to. It happens that the insurance contains some exceptions (e.g. Eastern European countries).

Motorhome rentals can be found in almost every provincial city and in many smaller towns. However, remember to choose the right company not only because of its proximity. Sometimes it is better to take the road, but be sure that you will rent a vehicle on better terms. That is why it is worth considering several companies, read their regulations (they are usually published on the websites of individual rental companies) and make a choice only on this basis.
