After Jastarnia, before Düsseldorf and Poznań - the fair in 2022
The Caravaning Summer Show , which ended last weekend, attracted over a dozen companies distributing vehicles, accessories and rental specialists. For the industry, this event is not so much a meeting place for industry "stagers" eager for news, but rather an opportunity for backstage talks and analysis of the market situation. This year, the main topics were the condition of the industry, galloping prices of base vehicles and components, and declining demand.
The industry is still doing well, but the streak is clearly slowing down. Balcamp, for example, showed their latest vehicles, two versions of bodies on the short and long Renault Trafic were shown by the Tri-City dealer Zdunek (the car manufacturer is Wavecamper from Greater Poland). The stand of the Krakow ELCAMP was interesting - taking over the distribution of the DOREMA brand was emphasized by the display of inflatable vestibules and tents. The manufacturer's offer includes instantly set up models for motorhomes, caravans and buses. We will definitely come back to this topic, because these are fantastic, light and durable structures.
As many as 2 manufacturers showed the latest superstructures for pick-up cars (AZAR and Tischner). The portfolio of suppliers was completed by an exhibition of several recently very popular LARK mobile homes, as well as Saxdor motor boats with an interesting sleeping cabin solution (lifted sundeck on the bow). Traditionally, representatives of the Silesian Panda Camp tents, campers and caravans rental could not be absent - their roof tents will accommodate the whole family or a group of friends.
Caravan Salon Düsseldorf - records will be set?
Meanwhile, we are looking forward to the most important industry event of the year - the Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf this year will be held on August 27-04.09. The last two editions overshadowed by the pandemic were not as spectacular as a few years ago. Both the formula and limitations as well as the absence of many key players left their mark on the overall event.
This year (as long as the next wave of the pandemic does not thwart the plans) is to be completely different. Many eminent producers from the ERWIN HYMER group (Hymer, Sunlight, Dethleffs, Bürstner, Carado, Laika, Eriba, LMC, Niesmann & Bischoff, Movera, Etrusco, Crosscamp etc.) return to the exhibition halls, which were missing during the last editions. Undoubtedly, it will also be a motivating factor for other brands that will want to show their best side and also emphasize their presence.
There are promises to be interesting fairs, which should be treated as a kind of barometer of moods in the industry due to the current global situation. We are very curious about press conferences as well as numbers and summaries with year-to-year comparisons of the results.
Poznań - here the caravanning heart of Poland will kill here in the autumn
One and a half months after the fairs in Germany, Caravans Salon Poland will open its doors. The event, planned for October 21-23, will have an impressive setting. The largest manufacturers and distributors of tourist vehicles present their offer - in total, we can expect almost 400 vehicles on display in 5 pavilions with a total area of almost 40,000 m2. Of course, there will be a lot of news from the German fair, so it's worth being here.
The organizer announces the Retro (organized in cooperation with Campermajstry) and Vanlife special zones. The program of the event will be graced by guests - travelers and influencers. As every year, a large Caravanning Rally will take place here. The central location in the center of Poznań acts as a magnet for many attendees, and this year's program and the multitude of attractions make Caravans Salon a real highlight of the season that you simply cannot miss. If any of you are just starting your adventure with caravanning or are planning to participate in the first rally, the capital of Greater Poland will be a good choice.
