Caravan Salon Dusseldorf, probably the world's largest fair related to camping tourism, is already behind us. According to both the organizers and the exhibitors, the event can be considered a great success.

The fair in Germany lasted from August 30 to September 7, attracting visitors from all over the world. The organizers had already analyzed their statistics and quickly announced that this year's fair in Dusseldorf is the greatest success in the history of the event.

They even came from Australia

The numbers are really impressive. During eight days, as many as 192,000 visitors passed through the exhibition halls, of which 25,000 were foreign visitors. The exhibitors noticed that there were exceptionally many Asians and Australians among the guests. There were more Europeans than in the previous years, and more Germans came from the south of the country (apparently due to an intense advertising campaign).

During the event, you could see stands of 580 exhibitors from 25 countries (including Poland). To complete these statistics, it is worth adding that over 28,000 vehicles passed through the camping site organized for tourists! This is another record related to the fair.

The clients went hunting

Guests can be divided into those who came to establish business contacts and private individuals (often whole families) interested in buying or modifying their camping vehicle. Both groups had a strong representation.

The exhibitors emphasized that the ending season was very good for them , and the new one was going to be even better. It can therefore be assumed that the economic crisis, which seemed to be consuming Europe only a year ago, is hardly felt today.

The interest in camping tourism is very high and, what is particularly interesting, potential customers are getting better and better knowledge of the industry . When they came to the stands of well-known producers, they usually already knew the company's offer, and in conversations with the exhibitors, they asked very detailed questions.

Trailers are becoming fashionable

Producers' observations show that the interest in two product categories is growing the most. The first of them are caravans , which may be surprising because traveling with a caravan seems more troublesome than riding a motorhome.

Perhaps this trend is influenced by the more and more interesting offer of manufacturers, who have recently introduced the possibility of greater personalization of trailers, and thus making them more attractive in accordance with the wishes of customers. And buyers seem to like this option.

The second popular category is semi-integrated motorhomes . Perhaps because they are more affordable than fully integrated ones, and from year to year they offer customers more and more different options, which translate into the perceived comfort. So we can have more and more for a price that is not too high for customers from Western Europe.

As usual, customers were most interested in new products. But not only trailers and campers, but also accessories and tents , for example, mattered to them.

If you trust the moods of exhibitors and fair organizers, you can assume that a good year awaits us in the caravanning industry.
