Pearls of the automotive industry, novelties in the automotive industry, reconstruction groups, concerts and Krzysztof Ibisz - this is how you can briefly say about the MotoClassic Wrocław 2018 rally. All this in the beautiful surroundings of the Topacz Castle in the village of Ślęza near Wrocław.

The weekend of August 18-19 was carried out to the rhythm of fired oldtimers, classics of the Polish People's Republic and luxurious novelties. On the castle estates, you could see over 400 cars from various eras - the Polish People's Republic Polonaise of Lieutenant Borewicz, a taxi from "Zmienników" or a familiar Toddler, historic fire and military trucks, massive SUVs, long Cadillacs, exclusive Bentleys, Ferrari and Maserati, all the way to the legendary vehicles from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries: Ford Quadricycle from 1896, Steffey from 1902, Magnat Debon 1910 or Ford model T from 1913. And this is only a fraction of what has been presented. Reconstruction groups that came in large numbers demonstrated means of transport, clothes and firefighting and military equipment. Contemporary famous brands and their most anticipated premieres this year also had their show.

Legendary gems

Zamek Topacz is a Mecca for automotive enthusiasts. Eight editions of the MotoClassic Wrocław rally have already been held on the property of this medieval building. In addition to the above-mentioned oldtimers, at this year's rally, among others, Rochet from 1906, REO Gentelman's Roadster from 1908, Lorraine - Dietrich SMHI, Buick B25 from 1914, Rolls Royce, Bentley, Chevrolet and Mercedes from the 1930s, and the famous James Bond car - Aston Martin. Once again, the historic Bugatti sports cars appeared - famous racing cars. Interestingly, about seven thousand sports Bugatti were produced; about 2.5 thousand pieces have survived to this day.

MotoClassic 2018 - around the automotive industry

MotoClassic is not only a great celebration for car fans. It is also a cultural, entertainment and social event. The hosts were journalist Joanna Zientarska and presenter Krzysztof Ibisz, and the special guest and honorary member of the Elegance Competition jury - Włodzimierz Zientarski. During the car reunion, the 1st International Alpine Rally in Poland and the 2nd International Mercedes Pagoda Rally took place. The participants also included Casual Car Club, Volkswagen Karmann Ghia Club and Rolls-Royce Enthusiats' Club Poland. There was also a large number of stylish two-wheelers. There was also a caravanning accent: the Ardea Camp rental company together with the Elcamp Group presented the Adria Matrix motorhome, Axess 670SL. CampRest guides to camping, which were distributed at the stand, were very popular.

The organizers had many attractions up their sleeve. In the area of the Topacz Castle there is the Automotive Museum, which could be visited as part of the rally. The judges of the Polish Motor Association, chaired by Jacek Blum, assessed the skills and efficiency of vehicles in the regularity driving competition on a specially prepared track. The youngest ones could vent their energy in competitions arranged by the fire brigade. As with almost every event, there was also music here - during these two days you could hear some good concerts from the stage.

Visitors to Ślęza could see the professional offer that is aimed at the former automotive market, as well as choose something from the rich assortment of other exhibitors. After all, who would not like to drink their morning coffee in a mug with a Toddler or wear t-shirts with a "big Fiat" proudly?

I love the Balkans, Slavic languages, European cinema, minimalism and vegetable cuisine. The love of books disturbs me in minimalism, in vegetable cuisine - trips to the Balkans. ;) I read reports (preferably about the Balkans, how!) And try not to buy culinary books anymore. Whenever I can, I go to the Balkans, and if I can't, I go where I can. ;)

City of Modernism - Chemnitz
Will a lover of the past and admiring monuments be bored in a city where an impressive monument to the creator of Marxism, Karl Marx, stands to this day? Will there be attractions here that will overshadow the sculpture 7 meters high and weighing almost 40 tons? Will the center, which is perfectly suited to the term "city of modernism", be able to impress a tourist? The Saxon city of Chemnitz, because we are talking about it, can boast at least a few interesting places. During your holiday in Saxony , it is worth visiting the third largest (after Leipzig and Dresden) center of the region. It is situated on the river Chemnitz and has the same name. It was badly damaged during World War II, so today there are not many historic buildings in it. Most of them were replaced by factory halls, concrete blocks and modernist sculptures. Nevertheless, there are still some attractive places in Chemnitz that are worth seeing. They include, among others Klaffenbach Water Castle , located on the southern outskirts of the city, near the golf club. Together with the hotel and restaurant, it forms a complex surrounded by a beautiful landscape park. It is visited by tourists from various countries (including organized tours), and there are also many cultural events, outdoor events, workshops and exhibitions. Chemnitz also has a nice old Renaissance (Altes Rathaus) and Art Nouveau new town hall (Neues Rathaus). The historic part of the city is best seen from the Hoher Turm, the tower of the old town hall. While visiting Chemnitz , you can go to the top of one of the city's oldest buildings, the 12th-century Roter Turm (Red Tower), and visit the Jakobikirche, the Gothic church of St. James. An interesting point is the Gunzenhauser, a museum with a collection of modernist works, housed in the former seat of the local bank, and postal distance posts with the initials of the Polish king, Augustus II the Strong.
