One of the leading European manufacturers of motorhomes has decided to build a new production hall in Nagyoroshi. The decision was announced on December 11.

Over the next two and a half years, Knaus Tabbert GmbH will invest a total of around EUR 13.5 million in the construction of a new production hall, which will be built on an area of over 10,000 square meters. The earliest, next year, a new production hall will be built in Hungary. Ultimately, a production line for construction forms and a carpentry shop will also operate here. The investment will be crowned with doubling the production of caravans and motorhomes.

The most important information for customers is the fact that we will significantly accelerate the production of their dream models. While at the moment a new one leaves our assembly lines every 45 minutes, we will shorten this time to 23 minutes in the near future - announced the managing director of Knaus Tabbert GmbH, Werner Vaterl.

The decision was made taking into account the growing demand for motorhomes. Last year alone, Knaus Tabbert GmbH produced around 13,000 caravans and motorhomes.

Market leader

Let us remind you. The German manufacturer has three production plants. The caravans and campers are manufactured at the company's headquarters - in Jandelsbrunn in Lower Bavaria, as well as at the plants in Mottgers (Hesse) and Nagyoroszi in Hungary. In the financial year 2014, the owner of four brands (KNAUS, Tabbert, T @ B, WEINSBERG) achieved a turnover of EUR 297 million, employing approx. 1,200 employees.

Knaus Boxstar - functionality in a small space
For decades, the car has been used by enthusiasts of active recreation to implement their vacation plans. Especially delivery cars - buses - that fell into the hands of the aforementioned people, quickly turned into mobile bedrooms. Most of the major manufacturers of motorhomes, apart from a wide range of "extended" motorhomes, also offer budget - models based on "tin" buses. Among them, in my opinion, Knaus Boxstar deserves the interest of those actively resting. This basic model of the German brand, like other similar constructions, is built with the use of Fiat Ducato . Its main advantage - apart from the relatively attractive price of EUR 40,700 - is its small size . Contrary to the higher Knaus models, the Boxstar does not cause difficulties during typical city driving. What's more - it provides much better handling and lower fuel consumption .

Knaus Lifestyle - a caravan for families with children
The vast majority of us, caravanning enthusiasts, are used to the classic approach of manufacturers to designing usable spaces of trailers. The Knaus company, presenting its single-axle model, breaks from known patterns and goes towards modern design - like architects responsible for the design of lofts. The single-axle chassis facilitates maneuvering on the camping field, which is over 7.5 meters long - with a drawbar ( 554 cm of the body's length) and a trailer. From the outside, the front stowage compartment for gas cylinders and touring accessories is striking. At the customer's request, in the Lifestyle model, the drawbar can be covered with a stylish plastic cover - while also hiding the elements of the overrun brake system. The rear part of the trailer was designed following the current trends of the automotive market - strongly marked LED lights are integrated into a prominent bumper.

Knaus Live - a motorhome for beginners
The Live series (eagerly written by the manufacturer as L! VE) is one of the most important novelties of the Knaus brand for 2018. Under this name, there are semi-integrated motorhomes, with which the manufacturer wants to tempt young people and those who - regardless of age - are looking for their first motorhome. Will Live meet their awakened expectations?. Don't expect a revolution after the Live series. This vehicle will not overturn the caravanning market, but that is not its purpose either. Its purpose is: selling. The highest possible sale. Live is a motorhome from the semi-integrated vehicle range, and it is this market segment that has the greatest competition. The price pressure is enormous here.
