The 6th Karkonosze Family Rally will be held on August 25-30, 2015. Its organizer is the Polish Federation of Camping and Caravanning (PFCC), and the rally covers the whole of Poland.
As every year, the program of the Karkonosze Family Rally is tourist and recreational in nature. The organizers are planning sightseeing trips and introducing participants to the attractions of the Jelenia Góra Valley and the Karkonosze Foothills, as well as active recreation - games and fun at the campsite. Guests will be able to relax at the foot of the Sudetes and spend time together at the barbecue.
During the ceremonial ending of the rally, all participants will receive commemorative diplomas and small gifts.
Meeting point – Wiśniowa Polana
The rally crews will meet in Miłków near Karpacz , at the guarded and fenced Wiśniowa Polana Campsite . It has 80 places for tents, caravans and campers. Its owner is the Wiśniewski family, and the campsite itself is one of the most beautiful and best-managed facilities of this type in Poland in the category of up to 150 beds. In 2010, it won the Mister Camping award in the category of the most beautiful campsite in Poland . He was also the winner of this competition in 2012-2013.
The owners of Wiśniowa Polana can be proud of being the first in the country to organize a caravanning rally for disabled people. They have been inviting people to the Karkonosze Family Camping and Caravanning Rally since 2008 - this year, caravanners will meet there for the sixth time. In addition to the swimming pool with Olympic dimensions of 50 x 50 m, which is the biggest attraction of the facility, guarded by WOPR lifeguards, guests have access to equipment rental, bonfire places and a volleyball court.
Success achieved with your own hands
The history of the creation of the campsite is very interesting. It all started in 1996, when Janina and Jerzy Wiśniewski purchased land on which there was a wild garbage dump and a neglected former German swimming pool. The couple made a lot of effort to bring the area into a usable condition. It gained the respect and admiration of the inhabitants of Miłków by independently planning the land from the reservoir in Marczyce. Opening the swimming pool was a natural course of events.
Initially, tourists camped here in the wild, sleeping in tents. There were no sanitary facilities - showers were only located near the pool basins. Encouraged by their guests, the Wiśniewskis registered in the marshal's office as Camping 142 "Wiśniowa Polana" . This is a facility that was built without external financial support, solely from the family's own funds. The activity of Wiśniowa Polana is the result of the hard work and perseverance of the Wiśniewski family.
6th Karkonosze Family Rally – how to register?
The number of places at the rally is limited. Crews willing to participate in the meeting must send application forms to the PFCC address by e-mail, fax or post. Crew includes 2 adults and max. 3 children up to 18 years old.
