She is liked despite numerous bans, including smoking outside the city, making noise or picking plants. Cyclists also love it. Even those who would normally use the car ride bikes here - there is no such option for tourists here. It is recognized by actors, models and politicians. They rest there without fear, despite the fact that it is located in close proximity to the Cote d'Azur, where the hustle and bustle, crowds and paparazzi can disrupt the holidays of many famous stars.

There is a beautiful place in the south of France. At the beginning of the last century, it was a wedding gift, and in the 1970s it was renamed a national park. We are talking about the largest of the islands in the archipelago Îles d'Hyères, the wonderful beauty of Île de Porquerolles . Seven kilometers long and five kilometers wide, gently bulging with five ranges of hills, it tempts not only with its romantic history. Tourists visit her to see the charming town lying in her heart. They want to get to know the beaches with golden sand stretching to the north, washed by azure waters - including Notre Dame, Plage d'Argent or La Courtade. They also want to see the sea-torn cliffs to the south.

The four stars of the Côte d'Azur

In addition to the largest and most famous archipelago, Îles d'Hyères , there are three more islands: the mountainous Île de Port-Cros, mostly used by the French Navy, Île du Levant, with a popular naturist settlement, and the smallest Île de Bagaud, together with Île de Port-Cros and a few tiny islands, forms the Port-Cros National Park , covered by the Natura 2000 program. The main island was settled in the 1820s. Less than two decades later, a lighthouse was erected on its shore, the next building was a church. Today it can be visited thanks to regular ferries from Hyères. It is approximately 10 minutes away from the mainland. The center of the island is the town of Porquerolles, where we can rent a bike, find accommodation or eat a meal in one of the restaurants. And it must be said that the local dishes serve delicious dishes that have stolen the hearts (stomachs) of stars such as Bono and Zinédine Zidane.

Caribbean on French soil

A major tourist attraction of the Île de Porquerolles is the Maison du Parc National und Garten Emmanuel Lopez , a botanical garden with an orangery in the center of the island. Its vegetation delights with its lush greenness and intensity of colors. The vast facility fully deserves more attention. It surprises many tourists visiting the Île de Porquerolles - they spend their holidays in France , and suddenly they move to the tropics. In addition to the Mediterranean flora, the fertile plains covering the center of the island contain species from Southeast Asia, Australia, South Africa, Florida and South America. The garden can be visited all year round.

Camping in South France

If someone is looking for the perfect place for a family holiday, relaxation, relaxation - in a word, recharging the battery under the French sun, on a French beach, enjoying the best of French cuisine, will be more than happy. Camping Eurosurf is waiting for such guests, located right next to the sandy beach, from which you can admire the Île de Porquerolles, proudly protruding above the azure waters of the Mediterranean Sea. Holidaymakers who, apart from the aforementioned pleasures, want to spend their time actively resting on the wave will be even happier. There is a diving center and a rich base of water sports at their disposal, ranging from boats, kayaks, through water skis, to SUP (Stand Up Paddle) boards. Of course, on land you can burn calories and catch endorphins just as intensely: there are pitches on the campground for fans of volleyball, handball, football and basketball. There are also table tennis tables and - we are finally in Provence - a pétanque field. Holidaymakers can also take a cruise to Iles d'Hyères and experience the beauty of the French Riviera up close.
