Southern France – what is worth seeing?

The most famous tourist attractions in southern France include Roman memorabilia such as located in the Occitania region Pont du Gard aqueduct and the amphitheater of Nîmes. Among the many natural treasures, it is worth mentioning Verdon gorge in Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, South Canal connecting Toulouse with the Mediterranean Sea, as well as Luberon alpine massif or Camargue nature reserve.

Vacation in South of France

Southern France is an excellent holiday destination. In the south-eastern part of the country there is the wonderful French Riviera (Cote d'Azur), famous for its beautiful beaches and warm azure water – this is where everyone who loves sunbathing and seaside resorts will find their place. On the other hand, people who like to stay in the city will have a great time in one of the largest cities in this part of France: Marseille, Toulouse, Bordeaux or Montpellier. It is also worth visiting no less interesting smaller towns that delight primarily with their unique architecture, such as Gordes, Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, Roussillon or Cordes-sur-Ciel and many, many others.
