Parallel to the beaches is an extensive network of cycling and hiking trails. There are also many historic towns and villages worth visiting, such as Brest, La Rochelle, Bordeaux and Bayonne. The French Atlantic Coast is also a great place for enotourism – the grape varieties grown in the western part of France are considered to be one of the best in the world!
