A family holiday in Sardinia is a way to fulfill the dreams of every family member - regardless of age. The island, known for its diverse landscape, delicious cuisine and sunny lifestyle, is perfect for your first trip together with your children. Perhaps Sardinia owes its family-friendly climate to mild temperatures which, thanks to the sea breeze, are never bothersome. Or maybe hundreds (if not thousands) of beaches whose waters are incredibly clear, warm and shallow, thanks to which the youngest travelers can safely explore the underwater world. Perhaps the whole secret lies in the approach of local resorts to children - who are treated here as full guests who deserve the highest quality care and... entertainment!

Coral Riviera – a place where the family relaxes together

It is worth planning a campsite in Sardinia on its north-west coast, called Riviera del Corallo - the Coral Riviera. Although it is inferior to other parts of the coast in terms of the number of luxury resorts, it definitely outperforms them in terms of local attractions, quality of beaches and local climate. When going here, you must spend a few days, or even the entire holiday, in the area of medieval Alghero. It is not only one of the best-preserved historical cities of Sardinia, but also a place where two cultures combine in a fascinating way: Italian and Catalan. The most valuable part of Alghero is the centro storico - a closed enclave where you can get lost in the labyrinth of winding cobbled streets, Gothic palaces and bourgeois tenement houses. While walking with the whole family around the elegant marina on the seaside, it is worth having fun counting the exclusive yachts docking here - and there are really many of them! Of course, you should not limit yourself to city trips when spending your holiday in Sardinia - the nature of the island is its main advantage. One of the places where you can best see the power of nature on the Coral Coast is the Grotta di Nettuno cave complex, which can be reached from Alghero in less than 40 minutes. Underground you will find a fabulous world of stalagmites and stalactites, and on the surface - the stunningly green Porto Conte Natural Park .

Overnight in Sardinia

Accommodation in Sardinia is as diverse as the needs of the tourists who come here. Therefore, when traveling with children, it is worth considering accommodation during your vacation. A great solution for mobile families who want to always be close to nature are campsites in Sardinia, which are modern, comfortable and always full of attractions. Camping Village Laguna Blu, belonging to the Baia Holiday chain, is a gem of the Coral Riviera - a place whose location beats even most of the luxury resorts. The camping area is immersed in greenery and the scent of eucalyptus and pine trees growing around. Immediately after waking up, guests can go to the sandy beach only 100 meters away or laze around on site, taking advantage of the animation program. It is worth booking afternoons for a visit to the water - there are wind- and kitesurfing instructors available, as well as professional sports equipment rentals for MTB, surfing and sailing enthusiasts. In the Sardinian tradition, evenings are a time spent with friends over a large bottle of home-made wine and light Mediterranean cuisine. The restaurant and fast food bar located on the campsite are perfect for this purpose. Therefore, it is not worth delaying the choice of a place for your first family holiday - Sardinia is waiting for Small and Large Travelers today!

Liguria - relaxation on the Italian Riviera
Liguria, a region in the northwest of Italy, is often referred to as the Italian Riviera. Lying in the Gulf of Genoa, on the Ligurian Sea, it stretches in a picturesque way between two mountain ranges - the Alps and the Apennines. The area owes its name to one of the oldest tribes in Italy - the Ligurians, who came to the country from North Africa. How to plan a visit to Liguria? What regional cuisine to try while traveling? We invite you to read!. The capital of the region is Genoa, the atmosphere of which you will feel best while walking between the densely dotted streets that make up the old town. Among them, it is worth visiting the Cathedral of San Lorenzo and the Church of Gesu, whose walls are decorated with paintings by Rubens. From Rafaelle de Ferrari Square stretches a new part of the city, filled with fashion salons and equally trendy cafes. When visiting Genoa , sooner or later you will reach a great port, where there is also an aquarium with several hundred interesting species of marine animals. Portofino should be an important point when traveling in Liguria . The town, situated in the Gulf of Golfi del Tigullio, stands out for its colorfully packed houses, creating a postcard-like view. Monte di Portofino, a peak belonging to the Regional Park, is also not far from here. The trip would not be complete without a visit to the Cinque Terre , which brings together five spectacular towns - Vernazza, Riomaggiore, Monterosso, Manarola and Corniglia. Situated on steep cliffs, connected by a winding mountain path, they form the Cinque Terre National Park. Each town is delighted with its unique location and atmospheric buildings - it is worth staying here for longer. Sanremo, made famous by the Italian Song Festival, is also located in the region. Its central point is Piazza Coloma, and the oldest district - La Pigna, full of local bars.
