What is the most fashionable ski resort in Spain? This is Baqueira-Beret, a resort where the Spanish king rests in summer, and in winter, skiers go crazy on slopes of all levels of difficulty.

To ski, you don't have to be limited to Austria or Switzerland. You can also go crazy in the snow in Spain, especially when your legs will lead you to the resort considered to be the most prestigious ski resort on the Iberian Peninsula, i.e. Baqueira-Beret. It is located in the beautiful valley of Val D'Aran, in the heart of the Pyrenees. Regardless of the season in which we visit Baquier-Beret , its beauty will delight us. Houses made of wood and stone, with roofs covered with natural slate, wonderful views of the Pyrenees peaks and picturesque valleys - all this creates an extremely atmospheric whole, full of charm typical only for this region. After a day of skiing on the slopes, you can relax in the cozy interiors of stylish restaurants or in one of the many pubs located in the resort and in other places in the valley.

The offer of the Baquiera-Beret ski area

The most famous Spanish ski resort is located on the border of France, Catalonia and Aragon, approx. 80 km from Andorra. The lifts are located at an altitude of 1500-2520 m above sea level. There are 33 of them, including 20 chairlifts, 5 saucers, 7 magic carpets for beginners and a 9-person gondola. The perfectly prepared slopes are guaranteed by a modern system consisting of 608 snow cannons .

The ski runs, totaling 120 km , are laid like a bridge over a river between three towns: Bonaiqua, Beret and Baquiera. Skiers will find 36 blue, 29 red, 6 green and 7 black runs here. The resort also provides entertainment for freeride fans and snow skiers - a 7-kilometer long trail awaits the latter. Fans of more advanced performances in the snow will surely be satisfied with the equipment of the local snow park. They will also enjoy a slalom slope with FIS approval.

Three Spanish Sisters

The third village is Bonaiqua , located at the foot of Cap de la Puella, at an altitude of 1900 m above sea level. Here there is a wonderful view of the entire valley, and the routes are very diverse, from the blue Pleta del Duc, through the red Les Paletes, to the black La Palla Grau. The Geber tour, which is exclusively for freeriders, cannot be missed.
