Three RPK colors

Three RPK colors – main image

After following the green trail in RPK, everyone will remember that copper compounds tint the water blue, and that sulfur contributes to the rusty-yellow color and specific smell. Colorful Lakelets invite you!

In the southern part of the Lower Silesia Province, in the area from the Kowarska Pass to the Bóbr Valley, there is the Rudawski Landscape Park (RPK). One of its biggest tourist attractions are three lakes with an unusual color of water. A trip on their trail is a perfect idea to spend time with the whole family in the bosom of nature or a way for an active trip with friends. A total of 152 km of hiking trails have been marked out in the RPK area and its buffer zone.

RPK attractions

The Rudawy Landscape Park covers the area of the Rudawy Janowickie massif, the Sokole Mountains and the Leaden Mountains, and covers the area on the border of the Western and Central Sudetes. The purpose of its creation is, among others protection of natural mountain and river natural complexes, including the Bóbr river or the Trzcińskie Mokradła nature reserve.

RPK is especially liked by amateurs of rock climbing , who test their skills on rock forms with names such as Fajka, Sokolik or Skalny Most. Apart from climbers, the enthusiasts of active recreation in the park also include trail skiers, common "rovers", i.e. hikers, and cyclists - RPK has a network of well-developed bicycle routes.

You can also rest, using the accommodation facilities in the park's summer resorts. There are many shelters, guesthouses, agritourist farms and campsites in the area of RPK. Thanks to the rich offer, tourists can easily explore not only the mountain ranges of the Rudawy Landscape Park , but also the neighboring ones, for example the Karkonosze Mountains.

The Trail of Colorful Jeziorek

Colorful Lakelets are three sisters: Purple Lakelet, Blue Lakelet and Zielony Stawek. There are many benches on their trail where you can sit down and let your legs rest. There are many beautiful viewpoints here, and the entire route is clearly marked. Thanks to the information boards along the trail, you can find out which chemical compounds the water in the lakes owes its original color.

Tourists walk along the educational trail called "Green Trail through the Colorful Lakes" . The route leads from the village of Wieściszowice, through the Wielka Kopa massif to the village of Rędziny. Pines and spruces grow along it, and the fairy-tale atmosphere during the walk adds richness to the fauna living in the park. In RPK you can meet wild boar, roe deer and red deer. Many species of birds also live here - including finches, tits and an inconspicuous bird from the warbler family, i.e. the primrose.

Emerald Lake

Overnight at the Colorful Lakes

Approx. 200 meters below the Purple Lakelet, there is a paid car park with a fireplace and a small buffet with a menu based on regional cuisine. And where can people who would like to spend more time by the lakes stay? At the campsite and camping site with a toilet, a place for a barbecue and a bonfire (with wood for smoking). Accommodation prices are set individually.

Willing people can ride a quad bike, it is also possible to rent a bike (with delivery to a specific place) and Nordic walking equipment. Our services are also offered by the PZN instructor and the Sudeten Guide - for groups and individuals.

A few years ago, Colorful Lakelets were recognized as one of the seven wonders of Poland. However, no plebiscite is needed to confirm that these are places worth the attention of every nature lover.

Italian holidays on Lake Garda
Are you planning a family vacation in Italy? Or maybe you are looking for a place in Italy for a romantic motorhome trip for two? Today we recommend and introduce you to the northern part of the country, in particular the picturesquely situated Lake Garda. The reservoir in the Veneto region, or Veneto, is a unique place that will provide an unforgettable experience to everyone, regardless of age. We invite you to read the practical guide!. Lago di Garda is the largest lake in Italy, whose unique beauty is determined by its phenomenal location among mountain slopes. The water is also unique in it, because it is the cleanest in the country and with a color reminiscent of the waters of the Adriatic Sea. Surrounded, typically Italian towns - with narrow streets and panoramic terraces in restaurants serving flagship Italian cuisine complete the image of the region. Its popularity is also due to the ideal climate, conducive to water baths. Interesting stops around the shores of the lake are towns such as Riva del Garda, Navene, Malcesine, Brenzone sul Garda, Sirmione and Torbole. Almost all of them have access to their own free beach with a gentle slope into the water. You can spice up your vacation in Veneto with short trips to nearby cities known in the region. We especially recommend you a trip to Verona , which owes its fame to Shakespeare's work - Romeo and Juliet. In the city, you will find many book marks, including the famous Juliet's house and a balcony where one of the scenes took place. You can also go to Padua, where you will find such monuments as the Palazzo del Bo, the Basilica of St. Antoni or Prato della Valle. During your vacation in Italy, you can go to Venice. This city does not need to be introduced to tourists - the dense network of canals with characteristic gondolas, the Venetian carnival with richly decorated masks and the film festival taking place during the summer holidays are just a few of the excuses to visit the city on the water.
