The time before the autumn rain and cold can be pleasantly spent on trips and exploring the world in all shades of brown and gold. But how to protect yourself from treacherous weather, how to strengthen the body against a wave of colds and flu?

This is the time of the disease season every year. Those who try their best to stop the summer go first - they dress shortly, regardless of the treacherous cool wind. As soon as the sun shines a little stronger, they act as if it's still July. Next are those who remember to wear appropriate clothing for the temperature, but their bodies are not immune enough to fight the attack of viruses. It sounds as if everyone gets sick, whatever they do. So is there a chance to protect yourself from the disease?

Forewarned is forearmed

The autumn menu should include dishes with onions, garlic or turnips. At this time of the year, we do not feel like drinking as often as in the summer heat, but remember to stay hydrated. Hot tea, mineral water, home-made compote or juices - who prefers what. As a preventive measure, we can also drink ginger infusion with a teaspoon of honey and lemon juice.

If someone has already overturned, your feet are cold, and your body has cooled down, the most important thing when you return home is an increase in body temperature . Preferably in a warm bath, and even better with aromatic oils. Especially known for its antiseptic properties is eucalyptus oil, often used for the so-called sausages. Rosemary or pine oil has similar effects, you can also use marjoram and soda for inhalation (1 tablespoon of soda and 1 tablespoon of marjoram are used for 1 liter of boiling water, we inhale for a quarter of an hour).

With the help of warm water, we can relax the whole body or the feet themselves, which will stimulate blood circulation and the body's defense reactions. An additional relaxation after leaving the bathtub will be a cup of hot tea with raspberry juice - it will help us warm up.

When the virus attacks

In the fight against runny nose, cough and fever, homemade onion syrup will come in handy. Making it is very easy: just sprinkle sugar on the sliced onion and wait for it to release the juice. Similarly, beetroot syrup is prepared and - for the brave - horseradish. Relief will also bring orange juice, carrot juice and parsley decoction (boil 0.2 kg of parsley in 1 liter of water for about an hour and drink the infusion before going to bed). Sore throat will be alleviated by rinsing with water and table salt several times a day.

Autumn can painfully make absent-minded people aware that summer is over. Especially for those who forgot that you need to replace the short sleeves with a sweater or a jacket, otherwise you will wake up with a headache, throat pain, runny nose and a feeling of breaking in the bones.
