Campervans differ in their characteristics from passenger cars. Due to their dimensions, they are much closer to vans, although there are also significant differences in both construction and use. As a result, some tire manufacturers have developed models optimized for maximum performance specifically for campervans. Which tires deserve special consideration for use in campervans?

Summer and year-round models perfectly tailored to the needs of campers

Campervan tires are constructed according to the Camping Pneus standard, or CP for short. This type of tire is designed to operate at higher pressures than standard van tires, or C tires. The construction of CP tires provides them with greater resistance to static loads and long-term storage – vans remain in motion, while campers may be stationary for extended periods.

Continental offers summer and all-season tires for campers. The VanContact Ultra Camper is designed for summer use. It's designed to withstand both high temperatures on hot days and heavy rain, ensuring exceptional safety in a variety of summer conditions.

Camper tires for the winter season

Unlike summer and all-season tires, choosing campervan models designed for the winter season is much more difficult. Due to the limited winter use of campers, tire manufacturers do not focus on producing winter tires in the CP standard. Therefore, if you want to use your campervan in very demanding winter conditions, such as mountain trips, the only option may be commercial winter tires with the C marking.

If you decide to go with this solution, keep in mind that they are not designed for stops under load. Therefore, after your trip, it's a good idea to remove them from the vehicle and replace them with CP tires. Otherwise, they may deform and quickly become unusable.

Krakow is a city that, in fact, cannot be visited only during the weekend. However, today's lifestyle does not often allow us to stay in one place for a long time. We assume that a typical tourist comes to Krakow on Friday evening. The well-known Krakow architect Feliks Radwański raised the problem that the Florian Gate must stay, because it would be rude to let the northern winds blow the dresses of Krakow ladies. And so the gate has remained until today.
