BUDAPEST
Budapest is one of those places we visit quite often. When moving around it, we use public transport, the metro works there perfectly or we wander the streets of Budapest slowly. There are a few places we particularly like:
- old M1 metro line with absolutely brilliant vibe. We usually stay overnight at Kiraly utca and we are close to the M1 so we take advantage of it. We are regular visitors to Hősök tere , where the Vajdahunyad Castle is located. The Városliget City Forest has many attractions, such as the zoo , Vidampark (amusement park) and the largest and oldest thermal pool complex in Budapest, Széchenyi Fürdő , and a circus. In winter, a large ice rink is organized.
- You can visit the castle hill by going up the sikló railway or on foot, but you have to take into account the several minutes' walk up the stairs. Upstairs, you can visit a part of Buda with a castle, fountains, old buildings and our favorite cafe with a bookstore on Fortuna utca.
- Małgorzata's island is a springboard from the hustle and bustle of the city and a shelter from the heat among arranged and less formal greenery, there is a mini zoo, pubs, and there is also an open municipal swimming pool.
- Obuda is the oldest part of Budapest, you can see here Roman ruins, a synagogue, the Zichych Palace. The historic part of the city looks amazing against the background of a large slab.
- In case of bad weather, you can visit the Natural History Museum and have a good time. You can also go to the aquapark http://www.aquaworldresort.hu/
We do not recommend the Tropicarium at all, a waste of time and money in the temple of commerce.
We are a group of Volkswagen Transporter T3 car enthusiasts, representing VW T3 UPPER SILESIA CLUB. We organize rallies and meetings of fans of this model to share the experience gained during domestic and foreign trips as well as solutions to technical problems and modifications to their cars.
