Sleeping on the go. Expedition to Nordkapp. 2013.
Hello!
We spent a week here from leaving the ferry to crossing the border with Norway. A lovely week. We started sightseeing in the capital - probably the most deserted city on the route. In our opinion, it is necessary to see, but we would not repeat the Helsinki tour. Driving further north of the country, along the route, there was the greatest choice and availability of beautiful camping sites, with "houses" with a fire, wood for general use, toilets, and changing rooms. Here, too, we returned to our childhood visiting the Moomin Valley, from which, to get 100% of it, you must visit with children. We do not hide that we also had a great time.
Saint Nicholas, famous all over the world, we also managed to see, even three saints, with whom the photo cost only 40 euro. In our opinion, Rovaniemi is a bit overrated, although it probably looks much better in the season. For curiosities, you can order a letter for a child from St. Nicholas in Polish, which will come during the holidays, cost 7 €. We bought a flight in Kuopio from attractions for the spirit and body (250 € for 5 people, it took 15 minutes). Impressions great, but only in beautiful weather, for which we were lucky during the whole expedition. In Finland, we also visited Tampere where we went to the funfair and here the entrance was 37 € per person. Worth the price, which also housed a zoo, dolphinarium and a lookout tower. Moving on local roads, beautiful vintage cars passed us everywhere, among them the famous American road cruisers Cadillacs. We wondered where in Finland such a flood of wonderful classics came from ... but so far we do not know the answer. A great advantage was also the fact that in every visited place there is no problem with equipping yourself with free maps of a given town.
On July 27, we entered Sweden. After crossing the border, we started looking for a place to stay. Taught by experience by previous countries that there is one on the road, we searched, searched, searched ... and nothing came of it. "Closed" forests, each path is fenced and no exits. So we got to Stockholm and we managed to spend the night there in the parking lot next to the marina. Every cloud has a silver lining. Unfortunately, the Swedish capital did not absorb us like Oslo. Not that it was uninteresting. In our opinion, Stockholm is divided into two distinct parts - the big city with the town hall, shopping districts, pubs and Djurgarden - the island where most of the tourist attractions are located, and the huge funfair - Grona Lund. And that's what was the biggest attraction in our eyes. After the capital of Sweden, we went to Gothenburg. A city whose streets run through a shopping center. A marina as standard, and beautiful as standard. There were an opera house, a market square, pubs, shops and parks nearby. Maybe we saw not enough Sweden to be delighted with her, because in our poll she took the last place, but we are giving her a second chance. You will have to visit her again.
The last Swedish city we visited was Karlskrona, from which we set off to Poland. We spent 12 hours on the ferry, did our last shopping and drove to Gdynia. There, a quick fish, a walk on the beach and the last 400 km to the house. And in Warsaw, we have been meeting friends for a month for stories and photo shows. It was our first trip but we will definitely remember it forever!

I am 27 years old and have my first serious journey behind me. I traveled around Scandinavia unscathed in 28 days (you can find the report here and on fb Sleeping on the go)! I am slowly planning my next trip - the Balkans. Keep fingers crossed!
