When going on a camping trip, especially if it is your first trip, you should double-check that everything you need is in your camper or caravan.

This time, we will not analyze basic equipment related to plumbing or heating and cooling. You must have noticed these elements much earlier. What you can forget are the trifles. However, it may turn out that the lack of what seems to be only a useful gadget will become a bothersome problem at the campsite.

First of all, you should not forget about the elements that should always accompany you on a long journey. These include a tow bar, first aid kit, warning triangle, tool kit, flashlight and snow chains when hiking in winter conditions. A pump for inflating the wheels will also be useful.

Kitchen with protection

Other accessories may be less obvious. You will need pots, dishes and cutlery in the trailer. It is good if the plates and cups are made of durable materials, e.g. melamine. For this, appropriate containers will be useful, thanks to which the dishes and cutlery will not move freely. You can buy, for example, special plate locks that can be used to block a pile of dishes from above.

There are also practical glass holders that allow you to transport them upside down vertically. You can think of bottle covers. Thanks to them, even those placed close to each other will not be exposed to breakage during the journey. Cup and bottle holders will also be useful - even if they are partially filled and open, their contents should not spill out while driving.

It is a good idea to have a garbage can in your camper or caravan. If you want to save as much space as possible, you can buy the rack itself, on which a foil bag is put. On the other hand, if the trash can is a bucket, it can also be useful in other situations, e.g. when washing the trailer.

Depending on what access to electricity you have, it is worth considering buying devices with a 12V socket. If you only have this voltage, a properly adjusted dryer and kettle will be useful.

What else is worth thinking about? Certain sanitary facilities in a caravan or motorhome may require appropriate chemicals. It is worth equipping yourself with them before departure.

For the sun and rain

If you want to travel with small children, a safety device that prevents children from falling out of bed can be a useful element. This is especially important if your kids are to sleep in the upper part of the motorhome - under the roof.

A TV will come in handy on cloudy days. And if so, you need an antenna and a mast for it. Ideally, the mast should be foldable and can be turned around its axis from inside the car or trailer. In turn, on sunny days, it is good to have curtains or blinds to protect the interior from harsh rays. A multi-layer insulation mat can also be useful. Thanks to it, the trailer or the car will not heat up.

If your RV has a bathroom area, a non-slip mat may work. If you are carrying a lot of luggage, think about transport belts in advance, thanks to which you will block the cargo, preventing it from sliding across the deck.

When parking in the parking lot, wheel chocks will be important, thanks to which you will immobilize the vehicle. A sensor can help with parking, preferably one that displays the distance to the obstacle. Driving with a trailer will be much easier if you install additional side mirrors in the car.

How to drive a car with a trailer?
The law provides for two solutions. The first allows you to drive a set in which a trailer weighing up to 750 kg was attached to a passenger car of any weight (i.e. up to 3.5 tons). However, this does not mean that you cannot drive a heavier trailer. However, if you decide on the latter solution, then the entire set must weigh no more than 3.5 tons, and the weight of the trailer must not exceed the weight of the car that pulls it. Take into account not only the regulations, but also the fact that the car must have sufficient power to have the power to pull the trailer not only on flat terrain, but also uphill. So if you have a car with a power of 50-60 HP or less, try to get a trailer that is as light as possible.

Camp-Riders - a harley rider goes camping
Caravanning is associated primarily with cars towing caravans, or with motorhomes. What about motorcyclists who would like to go on a long journey and do not like hotels? It is for them - and in Poland - that the Camp-Rideres brand was born. The name Camp-Riders are used for caravans created just for those who would like to attach ... a "caravan" to their two-wheeled road cruisers. Well, this term is perhaps a bit exaggerated, but only a little. In Camp-Riders, we can not only sleep, but also use it as a vestibule for a field kitchen. First things first.
