Altea4four - you can choose your color

Can it be done differently? Can you approach presenting trailers in a new way? Let your customers make choosing the right version fun? What Adria proposes with the Altea model is an interesting experiment that may cause quite a stir in the caravanning industry.

Let's give customers the opportunity to personalize their trailer to suit their needs. However, there cannot be too many options to choose from - the choice must be simple and possible in a few steps. Adria's representatives were probably guided by these assumptions when developing the offer for the Altea4four.com website.

Trailer from the virtual wizard

Indeed, the wizard is simple. All steps can be completed in just a minute, so even the busiest customers will find time for this fun. Importantly, when choosing the external appearance, we will immediately see the effect on the screen. And the choice is indeed unusual.

In the world of trailers, white trailers are standard, sometimes decorated with silver, and occasionally also colorful accents. However, Adria decided to go for it. The trailer can be white or gray, but there are also yellow, green and blue versions to choose from.

That's not all, because the trailer can be additionally personalized by choosing one of five patterns, e.g. colorful dots, checkered or stripes . This fits perfectly into the currently fashionable trend of the so-called mass customization . Thanks to various color options, the customer receives a product tailored to personal preferences, almost individual, but thanks to the limited range of options, this is not a problem for the manufacturer and does not significantly increase the price.

It's just fun

We can immediately see the "designed" trailer by rotating the visualization 360 degrees. Then we can move on to selecting the interior . Unfortunately, we can't go crazy here. We can choose between "Graphit" and "Silver" upholstery. Although the interior was designed modern and neat, it would be useful to have more selection options already at the virtual design stage.

The next stage is the selection of additional equipment elements . And here again we may feel dissatisfied, because it turns out that virtually everything requires an additional fee , including: shock absorbers, AKS clutch, spare wheel, drawbar cover, sewage tank or sink cover. In addition, no prices were given for the selected options.

In the next step we move on to the summary. We can save the project, share it (e.g. on Facebook), print it or – finally – send it to the distributor . Unfortunately, the wizard itself does not even show the approximate price of the configured vehicle. Therefore, such design can only be treated as fun, a first introduction to the Altea4four trailer, but without the possibility of quickly turning the design into even an approximate priced order.

Small for young people

Altea4four is a small trailer with a total length of 5,695 mm and an internal length of 3,640 mm. The width in the center is 2,170 mm. The trailer's curb weight is 1,024 kg and the permissible total weight is 1,300 kg .

The interior layout of this trailer is interesting. The kitchen is located against the back wall , to the left of the entrance door. On the right side there is a relaxation corner, which can be transformed into a sleeping area in many ways. It can be used to create two separate beds, three separate beds, a 2 + 1 + 1 or 3 + 1 set (i.e. one triple bed and an additional bed for a single person).

Thanks to this solution, we gain a small trailer in which up to four people can spend time. If we add the richness of colors that are not offered by other manufacturers, Altera4four will turn out to be a great proposition for young people who care about originality and large capacity at a relatively modest budget.
