Camp-let - caravan and tent in one

The trailer can be uncomfortable to drive and sometimes it becomes a troublesome ballast. But what's the alternative? The tent itself is not enough. The Danish company Camp-Let has found a compromise.

If you like adventures, bold ideas and you have at least a hobbyist's line in you, you may like these trailer-tents (as defined by the Polish distributor).

The trailer itself is small. When closed, it has dimensions of 323 x 160 x 95 cm . So comparing such a trailer with any caravan seems pointless. When you see the photos for the first time, where this small caravan is visible, and next to it there is a large tent with a living and sleeping area, you may not associate that these two elements have something in common. And yet…

Abracadabra?

Camp-let caravans are constructed in such a way that they can fit inside a tent with an area of 17 or 18 square meters (depending on the version), a kitchen, cabinets and even additional equipment! How it's possible?

The trailer consists of two parts, folded like a sandwich while driving. However, at a standstill, both "slices" can be unfolded, taking out the ready-made tent system from them. Well, almost ready, because the vehicle must first be immobilized with tools and then several tubes connected together. In any case, an experienced user will be able to set up the entire set in about 5 minutes (unfortunately we do not know whether it will be possible to put it together just as quickly).

The kitchen and cabinet part slides out of the rear part of the trailer. The wall with the lights can be opened like a refrigerator door. These also include shelves, but also a gas stove with three burners, a sink and a 13-liter water tank.

The tent itself is made of breathable acrylic canvas or cotton. Standard tents can accommodate 2 or 4 people with foam or latex mattresses. If necessary, it is possible to arrange additional sleeping places.

The advantage of Camp-let caravans is also their weight - you can choose from 250 or 275 kg .

There are more possibilities

The trailers are available in six different versions, which differ in the details of the equipment, the materials used, as well as the interior layout. When unfolded, the tent can measure 569 x 400 cm or 526 x 400 cm .

The cheapest is the Basic caravan, which in Poland is offered for PLN 23,700 in the version without a brake and for PLN 27,200 with a brake. The most expensive model is the Premium model, which costs - respectively - PLN 39,500 and PLN 42,900. The price does not include the transport fee from Denmark to Poland, which is PLN 1,800.

Camp-let caravans can be additionally equipped with canopies, side and front screens, additional annexes, awnings and pockets. You can also install a bicycle rack (for 2 or 4 bikes). The internal equipment can be enriched with a gas and water box, and even a gas oven with grill. You can also buy a set of cables and ... a fabric floor , attached with a zipper to the tent.

If unfolding and then folding the trailer does not scare you, and in the light trailer-tent you see mainly advantages, this proposal is for you.
